Nope. Not getting rid of my monster bowl, just don't want to put it out again until I have a plan. I want to rid the rooms as much as possible, wait a while, and start fresh, a different perspective. Finding a spot to store everything until then is the problem.

Finding a place for excess items during the decluttering process is a vicious circle. I put them in another room, try to rid that room of clutter, and everything is moved again. I cleared the basement of excess last month and it looks like it will be filled again, the logical solution for now.
I have bags of large dried primitive gourds that were moved to the attic, most were for Patti's wheelbarrows, and a sack of dried corncobs for a tree she wanted to make. The cobs are all in the woods now but I will take the gourds to a few shops, maybe they would like to decorate with them.
Sale starts today.
Enjoy the last Sunday of August.
I am woman, hear me whine.

been catching up on your posts. Hope your sale goes well!
Decluttering always sounds good to me, too, Marley. I really would like to lessen my stash. But...... What do I get rid of! I love everything! It's a conundrum, I say!
Good luck to you.....and one day I'll get there, too.....
I see you have a bowl obsession, too. Me thinks you have more than I do.
Happy Sunday :)

Decluttering is so very difficult. I love my "stuff", when one of my grown children say "I always like that ...or I remember that " I usually swoop in with do you want to take it home? I have gotten rid of a few thing that way. Selling, I could not do then I would miss them I know. Good luck, I will now go into the dining room and declutter a hanging cupboard of all those small dishes, you know the ones you put candies in on holidays. They will go on shelves in a box in basement with those 2 glass punch bowl sets and the one silver set. Why do I have three, because I needed three for a baby shower year ago and now I cannot part with them. In fact one I borrowed from a friend and she said keep it I do not need it. I thought she was being kind! I tell my three children " one day you will have a useless punch bowl set too". Enjoy the lovely cool weather.
Fun to see what you're doing.I think as we get older our time becomes more precious and we don't want to spend it dusting and moving things around and good lighting becomes so important. You have many fun things and it must be hard to choose what stays and what goes. I dream of an uncluttered home but I don't see it happening any time soon. Maybe you will inspire me.
I'm liking the new look. About that big bowl - would it work to flip a smaller bowl that's not currently used upside down and sit it in the big one? Or just use a stack of smaller bowls. Not only would it fill some space, but also be a storage spot for unused bowls. The downside is when you decide you need the smaller bowl.
