A few stragglers

I've decided on a few more pieces to sell.  Lydia Broome will probably be included also but not a definite yet.  Neither of these pieces is overfilled, just light batting.  I will give details next week if anyone is interested and let you know when they will be offered.

I've been car shopping.  You would think the beginning of September would not require a heavy jacket but the cold and wind on those lots was brutal.  Decision time, not my forte.  Do I get the Subaru Forrester with it's cardboard looking interior and flat exterior or a much nicer interior and more beefy exterior of the Ford Edge?  Do you judge a car on whether the door feels wimpy or strong?  Surprisingly, very little bottom line difference since Ford offers deals and Subaru does not.  The Nissan Rogue is in the running too, all were checked on IIHS site for crash data and did well.  Are you tired of dead red, flat white, boring black, faded silver, chalky charcoal, and one yearly offer of an odd-ball color?  Where are the rich colors of yesteryear?  Maybe those old colors are not appealing with black plastic trim compared to the chrome that used to be.  I have two weeks to decide.

Hope you have a good weekend.
For those in harm's way, stay safe, our thoughts are with you.

We've had our Ford Escape for a couple of months, have taken several trips (now has over 3,000 miles on it) and we are very pleased with its performance, comfort and overall appearance...good luck with your decision...in our case, the Escape had been on our minds for a few years...previous car was Chrysler PT Cruiser which I totally loved..but after 16 years and 140,000 miles, thought it was time for replacement. Oh, we live in a snowy area with mountain passes, the Cruiser (front-wheel drive) never failed me in very nasty conditions...Escape is AWD. Again, good luck!

I judge a car by how it zips, and engine sound my car growls. Last year I got a Buick verano turbo and boy does it fly...It is sapphire blue with chrome very " sharp". I walked out of a store to find a rather young man looking at and commenting" it looks like it can fly" you betcha. It is big enough for me and as we say here in New England" looks like you could put two bodies in the trunk" I can pack tons for my frequent "up north " trips to visit daughter and grandchildren. I always say one day I am just going to bring one suitcase and no stuff, then laugh! Good luck shopping.

good luck with the car shopping...I pass all those lots on the way to work and think how boringly similar they all are...mine is white and I'm dead sick of it...10 years old and doing my best to keep it as long as possible...my sister and her dh have always like their Ford Explorers/Expeditions...

We have had two Escapes. One red, this one white. Not exciting. I would love, um guess what color? Brian would not drive around a car that color though. 0_o?

My friend has a Ford Edge and loves it. Very comfortable and a solid, safe car. Her color is black with a fine pink glitter glaze that is reflected in the sunlight. Beautiful.

If a comfortable ride is important to you, go for the Edge. Ford really makes cars that have seats that are cushy and you don't feel like you're just a few inches off the asphalt.

Our kids all have Rogues and love them. Our daughters is in a color called Midnight Jade, which is really a slightly metallic moss green color. I didn't think I would like it but I LOVE it. I have always had blue cars in all kinds of pretty shades but I got my new Murano in March, I went with a pearl white and I love it. It's just like the name implies - pearly white. Good luck with the shopping. It's such a big decision!! Warm hugs, Linda - Behind My Red Door

We had a no-bells-or-whistles Forester and loved it - that car did everything we asked of it and more as it was basically our moving van from VA to PA. We sold it about two years ago and got a little Mazda 3 ... and husband has been missing the Forester ever since.

Boy are you right about car colors! Silver cars can look nice, but I'd never want to buy one since there are SO. DARN. MANY. of 'em everywhere you look.

I've had a Rogue for 4 years and so far, so good with 49k miles. I'm hoping it lasts at least another 8 years!
Good luck.
