A tiny piece

for a huge thank you.  I am touched by all the well wishes from readers and fellow stitchers, obviously a caring and thoughtful group of wonderful people.  Thank you so very much.

Every day the hooked cat from Krissy B sits across from me and reminds me of the generosity of this sisterhood of ours.  And her tiny Chums stitch that I sniff (lavender) daily is still one of my favorites.  For some reason, it was calling to me.  Santa was put away, my next sampler is waiting, because this tiny piece felt right.

So I stitched it, and stitched it again, and I may stitch it again.  Of course there is a slight change because of my failure to study the chart, but it's OK.  You won't mind will you?  It will be sent to one of you that commented on that last post.  All anonymous left an initial/name except one and there is only one unknown, making it easy.  I can include every single one of you.  It's a tiny piece, but with enormous gratitude.
I will have Random choose a number and match it to the comments.  Densely filled with fresh lavender and ready to travel as soon as I get an address.  I will post the recipient and request contact if they are no-reply, probably Sunday afternoon.

My PET scan will be Thursday, only if they can somehow squeeze me in.  I will request another location if they can't since the unit travels bi-weekly to this area and I do not want to wait an additional two weeks.

Missy is doing much better and is back to destroying the house.  She snagged the top of this wing and made a hole just in the last few days.  Nitzy is sick and I don't believe it's just a cold/infection.  He just isn't well and seems to be going downhill with no real symptoms.  Even though it is very difficult to administer, I have given him four days of antibiotics with no change.  He won't allow me near him now.  If it continues, I will see if any of the mobile vets would attempt an exam.

Once again, thank you very much.  I'll be thinking of your kind words instead of the claustrophobia while lying in that PET tube.

Enjoy your weekend.

Thank you to all the veterans.

I've been checking everyday to see if you've posted anything. I'm so very sorry you have this to worry about. About the pet scan..........it's not like an MRI....I was put in feet first and was able to see the light of day for mostly the entire test. My head was in the thing for a very short period of time. I'm praying that what ever they are looking for is not the C word.
I'm sorry about Nitzy.......glad about Missy.
You have been in my thoughts and prayers since I first read your last comments.
Waiting is awful......I know !
Sending hugs, prayers, and many thoughts for your to be okay.

Hooray! It's so good to hear from you. Charlotte is right, not knowing is the worst. And of course our imaginations run absolutely wild...and geez, Marly, you're wild to begin with! :-) (That was a funny, please don't be offended.)

Keep us posted; prayers continue. Much love

love and hugs Marly...I've been thinking of you daily...knowing the limbo of not knowing is the worst...hoping they can get you in the PET scanner asap...

Close your eyes before you slide into the scanner and don't open them until you slide out. When inside, concentrate on your breathing. That's how I deal with MRIs: eyes closed.

I'll be thinking of you, Marly.

Wishing you the best, maybe if you close your eyes during the pet scan and design a few cross stitch pieces while your in there will keep you from worrying about the machine! Things have a way of working out.

Continuing to keep you in prayer Marly. I know waiting is not a pleasurable thing, but you are doing just fine--the stitched 'Chums' piece is a delight! Big Hugs!

Chums and the sentiments behind it made me tear up. When I am stressed or want to fall asleep, I imagine a single stitch in as much vivid detail as possible -- it must be as if I am actually working the needle -- then onto the next stitch and so on. Works so well it amazes me how fast I fall asleep. You could try that and hope you sleep through it! I remember when my husband was being poked, scanned, prodded and studied to see if he had multiple myeloma. He snored happily away each night while I freaked. It turned out to be a benign blood disorder that has been monitored for years now (8-9?). Anyway, glad to hear your thoughts as life goes on.....More hugs, Robyn

Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. These are the only words of wisdom I have on how not to worry. Maybe try to maintain a normal routine as best you can. Not knowing is the worst.

My dear Marly, It was so good to get another post from you. You shouldn't be surprised by how much your followers care for you. Your posts are always fun to read and so often make us laugh. In N Ireland sedation is given before a PET scan so I can't see why that would not also be the case in the US. Keep your chin up, you can handle this! Remember it may seem like it but your are not alone. So many of us are praying for you. Bless you. E.

Marly I have been out of town but I want you to know that I have lifted you up in prayer asking for good results from your test, for rapid healing for whatever might be wrong, for wisdom for your doctors but also for you if you have decisions to make regarding your treatment. You have blessed my life in so many ways - from the free chart I have stitched to the moments of laughter I have had when reading about some of your adventures. I've even got a stash of Dove chocolates, thanks to you! blessings, marlene
