Quick update

After another 10 hour day in a hospital as cold as a meat locker, Mark and I brought Carole home after a successful stent and stone removal.  One.  Where did the second stone go?  Two more days on Augmentin and hopefully by the weekend, she can start getting back on track.  The inflammation and sepsis may be the reason the pancreas is not responding well to meds, but they kept her under 400 for the surgery with insulin.   She is 16# lighter than a week ago so the fluid is leaving and her breathing is improved.  I still need to go over every morning to put her compression stockings on, one more trip to the lab, and one more trip to the doctor.  Lifting that transport chair in and out of the car has not made my shoulder worse at all.  So it seems that all will go well as we head into Fall.  Except for an old gal with a bad haircut and bad attitude that missed August.  She is grateful that the crisis is over, but really ticked off that summer is also.

Thanks for all your prayers, well wishes, and support.

You didn't miss much August was/is been a horrible month as for weather. September is coming and we will all breath a sigh of relief. Leaves and pumpkins much better than humidity and constant A/C. Take care.

So happy to hear the crisis is over.
I can't believe August is winding down. What happened to the summer of 2018? Probably the same thing that happened to the summer of 2017, 2016....

Hi Marly, So delighted that all is on the upside for you and Carole. Prayers will continue. Actually, I could go for a snickers any time of the day...enjoy your Doves.
This has been one of the hottest summers on record for us. Still NO rain and too much for others. I enjoyed a trip with four of my BFriends down the hill to 'Primitive Gatherings Quilt Shop'...(new owners). I was in 7th heaven and even though I told hubs I would not be buying anything, well I lied. Anyways it was a breadth of fresh air that I really needed. Afterwards we all had lunch and drove back up the Cajon Pass, back home and enjoyed 92 degree weather with next to NO humidity. For me Fall and winter are my favorite times of the year...as I can enjoy the snow capped mountains of Big Bear and Wrightwood and snowless roads here in Apple Valley. Looking forward to cooler days and falling leaves.
Have a Blessed day with Peace for all my friend,
Barb
