Eszter has a new design that is darling. In case you didn't see it .... from her blog ....
Pumpkin Heart
I think we all love heart shaped designs. I mentioned that I am tired of darker linen but what is the first thing I thought of? A little darker linen!!
The emailed pattern from her Etsy shop if you want to stitch this ....
I'm making Brier Hill pizza tonight, Carole is craving it. She's a little better but still too weak, and the night leg cramps are killers. Pickles appear to work somewhat and the over the counter remedies are failing. She is cautious of Gatorade, seems to make them worse. Needs to watch the sodium because of the fluid retention so she is smack between a rock and a hard place. All in good time, things will work out. But not for my MN cousin who is now in hospice care. Never heard of frontotemporal dementia before this.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable long weekend. Can't believe it's September. Still warm, but the month means Fall and that just pops my balloon.
Stay safe and enjoy the holiday.

I can't believe it's September, either. As I've probably said before, I'd love fall if winter did not follow.
Poor Carole. I hope she finds relief soon.
What a cute pattern. I never heard of Brier Hill pizza. I love most any kind of pizza. We eat pizza once every week here. 😊
Try tonic water, it's supposed to help reduce cramp. I'm not sure if it's called the same thing over with you as it is in the UK.
I agree about the darker linen. Would really make the house stand out.
That pumpkin heart is adorable. Thnaks for the info. I am so sorry to hear about your cousin and hope Carole is feeling better soon. As I said before, you are a very good sister!
I drink CLICK Protein Powder with Skim Milk to stave off leg cramps. My heartfelt prayers for your cousin and Carole. Healing, Comfort, and peace be with them.
Wishing you a blessed September.
I'm very sorry to read about the health issues in your family, Marly. Carole couldn't have a better sister - you are her advocate and caregiver and do such a good job taking care of her. I'm not familiar with that pizza, but I bet it's going to be good. And I'm in denial about the calendar turning another page - summer just can't be over. 🙂
Marly, has Carol had her electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium) checked? If she was getting diuretics (water pills for extra fluid) she could have low levels and cause leg cramps. Try some OJ, bananas. She went through a lot as you know and will take time to bounce back from surgeries and infection. Glad she has a great sister and brother-in-law!
My doctor gave me a prescription for Lyrica to help with my sharp pains and cramps in my legs at night. It works. I drink water with some lemon juice in it instead of flavored drinks. If I was sweet I will add just alittle bit of sugar. Hope Carol feels better real soon. I am sending big hugs and love to the both of you. Try to enjoy the weekend.
Magnesium 1000 mg about an hour before bed. Works amazing. I agree on darker linen.
This will sound strange but my Dad put Irish Spring soap under the covers in the bed to cure the night leg cramps. He said it worked. You could try it. I love Sub Rosa patterns too and have many. I started one tonight, an adorable witch featured in Punch Needle and Primitive Designs magazine.

Give this a try for Carol. I used to dance and have suffered severe cramps for years. About 90% of the time this stuff will stop the cramp. It is smelly and believe it or not is only apple cider vinegar, garlic and ginger. It is an old Amish treatment and @ $13 a bottle, so not expensive to try. You can also get it on amazon. I would never have believed it until I started using it!
My husband would have awful, leg cramps. I mention to my Dr. years ago and he said try Tonic water. It worked, husband stoped for a while and then started to have leg cramps, i reminder him that he has not had a glass of Tonic water in a while. It comes in lemon or line flavored too, Carole should give it a try, simple and cheap.
Just catching up on your posts (we were away on vacation). So glad Carole's last surgery went well, but so sorry to hear she is still suffering. Sorry also about your cousin in MN. Get ready for more hot and humid! :(
Love this pumpkin heart design!
