Cornstalks and cardboard,

drywall and dust.  My days.  So much touch up work to be done after removing the crown moulding and wainscot before painting.  Sanding this new spackle with primer is not as easy as the regular.

You can see the cardboard on the ground in front of the deck, preventing the mud from splashing on the fresh stain.  We have no step, we have no walk, we have fine gravel from beneath the stone area that was removed.  And no prospective concrete workers.
Hopefully Jason will be here next week to help, and if he is, I will reschedule the three doc appts I have.  After all, shouldn't I be here watching him?  You know, in case he has a question.  You remember him don't you?

I keep finding these small linen hand worked .... whats.  What are they called?  Tea towels?  They are so small and not anything like a "towel".  Hopefully this will be the end of them.  It's a shame no one appreciates the work involved but who wants them?  Maybe I can work them into a heart or sachet.  That sounds like a good idea.

The brats were not happy with the company for Carole's birthday.  The look on Missy's face says it all!  They are so comical.

Hope your week is going well.

Thanks for visiting.

My yes, you must be there to supervise Jason. I have one cat who is terrified of company, he howls and hides for hours. In fact my children have only seen him outside across the street sitting in a neighbors yard .

hi Marly, i would happily buy a ticket if you were to sell them, to come and 'help' you watch Jason :-)

I would like to see Jason too :)
Your cats are adorable! My three cats hide under/behind furniture and won't come out until company is gone. The only time a person came in the house when they didn't hide was when our daughter introduced us to our now son in law. They all rubbed on his legs and he was instantly approved.

Marly: I hope you share progress photos with us.
The kids do not look happy.
As for that great hunk I would change my appointments myself and make it a point to ask a few questions just to look at him, standing behind a wall and taking a peek every once in a while is not a good thing for me, I would be considered a stalker, oh who am I kidding I would do it anyway.

The mess involved with renovation is never fun. Having Jason around will help, I'm sure. :D
