Almost!

The door and windows need painted but without cooperation from the weather, they may have to wait until spring.   I do like the contrast of dark and light which is one reason I wanted the beams for this room.  This light gray which I thought would never work, has turned out to be the perfect color.  Yes, I am amazed.

Not sure I am loving the black hinges but they will stay.  I've decided against farmhouse style decorations, will stick with primitive/colonial but on a much lighter and more sparse note.

And someone is getting comfortable on these cold and snowy days.

Hope you are!!

I'm still a crabass.

Oh I love this. The way this turned out, it reminds me so much of the way our home looked in Greendale. Our living room ceiling was all the original wood with the beams and we had the walls painted off white and the door handles and hinges were the dark black wrought iron.

You are one lucky 'Crab Ass'. It is all looking wonderfully perfect...very primitive/colonial, just as you like and so do I.

It is great that you are happy with the look. I think it looks very good. I like primitive/colonial better than farmhouse.

So glad the color makes you happy, Marly--it really does look perfect! I just associate you with the primitive style so much so I'm glad you are sticking with it. You do it so well :)

And there is that gorgeous postman Santa! I really must stitch him some day :)

I love the room, and the cat in a basket. I know what you mean about the hardware, a few years from now when all your projects are finished you can obsess about them! I have been wanted to change the hardware on an old corner china cabinet years, lets see 25 years now! I go from changing the metal or painting them like the outside wood or painting a contrasting color ( inside in a different color) Oh well!
