Liquid?

I  think not.  After not being used for several months, this is what happened to the tightly closed bottle of Liquid Stitch.

I will be using Aleene's Tacky from now on.

And this is what Woody Woodf***er is doing to my house.  Again.  We filled and sealed all the other holes before staining and thought we were in the clear.  This time, it's the little Downy.  Regardless of Flicker or any type of pecker, they are classed as migratory and are protected.  I've called the PA Game Commission about poachers, hunters too close, bait piles under tree stands, hunters on posted property, hunting after dark, and I was totally ignored.  But if we harmed a feather on this little guy, I'm sure they would show up.

Maybe I can grab him with a net from the second story window and buy a bird cage.

And yes, that is blue sky!  Can't believe it, but it's a beautiful day of sun and a little warmth, unfortunately, Jason is not here again.

Even more frustrating, my nephew's girlfriend was the only one in my sister's house yesterday, and her wallet is gone.  I gave Carole several hundred for food and gifts and she had planned to go out today since she is starting to feel better.  Gone now.  After months of seeing things that raised my suspicion, I am now convinced she is on drugs.  She stopped her one and only credit card, the cash is gone, so no shopping now for anything and the new card will be here in 6 days.  License and all other store cards need to be replaced and she is furious, although my too trusting nephew is finding it hard to believe.  She of course is denying it.

Sorry about the 'missing' wallet! Gorgeous sky! Also sorry about the woodpecker damage. Not sure where you find them, but there are several types of visual deterrents out there (like Mylar Flash Tape, Reflective Scare Bird Diverters, the Scare Balloon).

Oh, how upsetting, Marly--I feel so bad about the wallet issue. A similar thing happened when my nephew and his girlfriend were visiting my mom--the girl pocketed most of mom's pain pills. Needless to say, after he found out, that was the end of the girlfriend--hallelujah!!

How horrid Marly. We lost a nephew to drugs last summer. My poor BIL tried so hard to keep the boy on the straight and narrow. It was so painful and such a waste!! Sorry about Woody. We have had them from time to time but never saw much damage.

Girlfriend or not I would call the police and let them question her, unless they are as useless as the DNR. They might get the truth out of her. That is too much money to let go. It's called a consequence.

Like you need more grief and hassles, but when was the last time you had your house checked for wood beetles, etc? Woodpeckers will drill a few exploratory holes, but if they don't find anything to eat, they move on. They only keep coming back if they're finding dinner. The woodpeckers are the symptom; you need to find out what it is that keeps bringing them back.

So sorry about the money stolen. I had a beautiful diamond ring stolen by one of my daughter's boyfriends, years ago. Didn't think to search his pockets before he got out of the door. I'm heartbroken.
This has been a year to forget, in more ways than one.
Praying that 2019 will prove to be a much better year for all of us.

I think you should notify the police too and let it be known you have done so. At the very least it might scare her into not doing anything like it in future. Meanwhile your Sister should keep her wallet in a Tupperware box in the freezer, or an empty cereal box in the pantry, somewhere out of sight at any rate. So long as she doesn't forget where she's put it!!

The best glue for crafting, especially cross stitch is PVA glue. It will never yellow or ruin your item over time. I find mine at Michaels or any craft store. Sorry about the wallet. The most trusting are usually the ones that make the most mistakes.

Sorry to hear about the missing wallet and I'm sure now she will be more alert to the problem. Had a brother on drugs and nothing was sacred in the house....he stole whatever he could to get his fix. Oh and they are also very good liars.

Marly: I am so sad this happened to your Sister, what a shithead this girl is, sadly your nephew cannot see this is happening.
I have an owl and the woodpeckers are staying away, they are frightened by owls, even the plastic ones, they do not bother the wood rails any longer.

I keep all my liquid bottles in my craft room in plastic bags after opening, it helps the caps from leaking.

Merry Christmas

Marly - Your Sister would do that girl a disservice by Not reporting her...allowing
her to think she got away with it.... rewarding her for her disloyalty... The best
lesson for her to learn … take the consequences and get straightened out.. 3mill
is spot on.... I also suspected wood bees, but they are usually active in the Summer. Good luck with that problem ...
