Hi. A reader asked for help in locating two samplers, neither of which I could help with so I thought maybe one of you could offer a source. If anyone can, please let me know. She checked with Scarlet Letter already. Thanks.
First sampler, Sally Crafts dated 1808, supposedly held in PA Museum of Art.
Second sampler Sarah Maddock dated 1810 from The Pennsylvania
Collection.
Thanks.
Added note - the B in the Henry VI (HB) chart is for his surname, Bolingbroke. Took me a long time to locate that information!
Thanks.

If they Google the name followed by Sampler many photos come up perhaps they may find it that way. Also try the museum gift shop ten they have charts/kits of samplers and quilts that they have in their collection.
I think the name was mistranscribed on Emlis website. I think it should read "Cratis". The sampler is located in the Whitman sampler collection at the Philadelphia Museum of Art:

The Sarah Maddock sampler was produced by the company "Simply Samplers" out of West Chester PA which appears to be no longer in business since there are no references to the company on my search engine! You can find images of the front of the graph online.
I think I found them both on: http://www.emlis.com/simplysamplers.htm

Both samplers on Emli's have "n/a" after the entry which I took to mean they were not available. It's worth a call or email to see if they are in stock. I have ordered from them before and not all that was on the site was available.
