Ann's surprise

Hi folks.  Received my magazine today and studied details that were not noticeable when viewed online.  The biggest one?  There is a tiny piece of 40 count stitched and hemmed, attached to the sampler!  How cool is that!   Another plus are the motif placements that will allow errors and misalignments to go unnoticed.

Seeing it up close and personal, it's a gem.  I left myself large pieces of linen to complete the big girls I had chosen, and I need to check the remaining inventory of fabric for Ann.  She has pushed the others aside and is the front runner in the 2019 crowded field of hopeful candidates.

Hope your week is going well.

What a delightful detail that bit of 40 count is! You said this delightful sampler is in an issue of SANQ? I have every issue and I can't believe I've never noticed this beauty (now I have to dig out my magazines and find her). I hope you kept a piece of linen that's the perfect size cause I'm sure you will love stitching this one.

Enjoy the journey of completing your sampler. It isn't a race, it is a pleasure to savor in each step and stitch. And that is all the philosophy I can muster this early in the day. LOL

Love the "patch" on sampler clever way for corrections. Wonder why?

Glad you are back blogging. Maybe stitch a part of the sampler on fabric you have. Lovely sampler!

This is a true beauty....love the saying and that little hemmed “applied” piece....like a sampler within a sampler.... Wonder if it was to cover a fabric flaw or something? How I would love to know!!! ~Robin~
