I have a habit

of abbreviating even the smallest project.  I changed the green and the flesh tone, decided to not do the border.
He's a tiny little guy on 35 count over two, one thread.  Guess how many times I stitched the boots.  How about the bag.  Tree?  Even with much repeated stitching he is very quick.   At only 2-1/2" x 2-1/4" he will make a fine ornament for smaller trees.  I had a terrible time trying to focus so if he was a large sampler, it would have been all over but the shouting.  Lots of shouting.

We went for flowers today at five different Amish greenhouses, ended up with white instead of pink this year.  Most all baskets were combinations and I prefer solid color but after putting them out, they are kind of blah in those spots.  Got Carole's Bubblegum petunias for her and gave her a few candles from my inventory and leftover wax.
She has a little candle crock pot with glass liners and she can use all the candle ends for melting.  I put the jars in the freezer overnight which allows the candle to slip right out.
Smack it to crack it and the wicks can be removed, container recycled.  The jars with the narrow top need to have the wax broken before removal.  I haven't seen those little crocks in a while, most have a dish for melting.

Hope your weekend is going swell.

Thanks for visiting.

Marly: I do understand the shouting, I have had to redo a few small designs only because I was not thinking about what I was doing.
I have to say I have never heard about putting candles in the freezer, I will be trying this, I do reuse the leftover wax for my melting pot, there is still so much fragrance left in the wax so why not use it.
I hope you are having a great weekend.

What a great idea about freezing the candles... have quite a few to release...
You come up with such great ideas... Under the circumstances, you are really holding your own in the stitching dept. Hope your problem is easing off without the meds and that you will progress even further... In our prayers.

So happy to see that you've stitched a Santa. He's adorable.
Such a good idea about the candles. Will surely have to try that idea.
I love the wax melt fragrances. They make my house smell so good.
Your white petunias will be pretty in the day time and at night also.
Happy Sunday.

I long to go get some flowers but a bit early here in New England yet. Our nurseries don't get in a good selection until mid May. Glad to see you doing a bit of stitching. I only use soy candles they are such easier to clean, soy is softer.

Nobody does Santa like you do....abbreviations and all. I’m not going to admit to the amount of frogging I have done on my last project. I have been freezing my candle and tart remnants for years....Drives my husband nuts. Little things like that make me smile. ;-). ~Robin~
