but it's still cute as heck.

Back to the offer!!
I tried every search engine and craft store online, HL and Michaels and JoAnn, there are no 4" square tall boxes. Create for Less has them for $24, they don't list quantity and I only need one. So I've decided to keep mine and use it for storage in my bathroom. But someone will receive a smaller version, the 3", if they enter the giveaway. Leave your initials in your comment or name if anonymous, email if that's easier.
I will remove the moderating so you may see comments from the male troll. In the photo you will notice that I added layers of cardboard in the lid so it sits high enough to not cover the labels. You can see how heavy and sturdy these very old boxes are by the thickness of the mache.
Drawing will be Sunday evening at 8pm. I am sorry to restrict the entries to USA only after checking international shipping charges for a box.
Here ya go! A tiny little box of houses for you.
You and I will have the only two! Mine's bigger but it's my birthday.
Happy day to all!!

Just adorable! Would sure love to win this. Glad to hear you are finally getting some summer, we will have the swamp butt heat this weekend here in central Illinois, and of course, more rain on already soaked farm fields. It has been a challenging year to be a farmer! Good luck to all.
Happy Birthday! Love these boxes with the houses...would love to add it to the oval one one and the round one you made...both with houses. What is it about houses on samplers that makes us so happy? Hope you stay dry this weekend. R.S.

I agree with the comments about the weather, it has been a cool wet spring here in St Louis as well. But we just won Stanley, so no complaints! I love your crafted box, would look great on a shelf or bookcase and I'd love to win. A great giveaway to celebrate your birthday. Enjoy the sunshine.
Yay! I have a US mailing address too! Love those small boxes!
May your birthday be extra wonderful

Okay, you can keep the big one since it’s your birthday! LOL. I’d be more than happy with the smaller one.
Happy Birthday! My hubby and brother have birthdays today too. The box is so cute! Raining here with storms forecast for the next 10 days. Just my luck - the rain is preventing the roofers from finishing my roof this week :( .
Happy Birthday! I have been thinking of all those affected by flooding and "slugs"? Yuck! We had rain and there was flooding down south of us by Little Rock, AR but I am in North Central and it was fine. I couldn't believe how there would be rain above us and below us while we stayed dry. I hope you are blessed with a beautiful summer after all that!
The box is beautiful!
Just wanted to wish you a very Happy Birthday, hope your day is filled with love and laughter. Hugs, Sandy
I hope you have a very Happy Birthday! That is a cute box!

lovely box..but please don't add my name to the list..still in getting rid of things mode..wishing you a very Happy Sunny Birthday!
Happy birthday, Marly.
I'd love a chance to own another of your boxes.
That's a lot of water. The sun was shining today. So nice to see after a very rainy Friday.
I would love to win the cute box. Please put me in your drawing.
So pretty. Would love to win. Jonette T in Virginia
Happy Birthday! Love the box! DJ
Happy, Happy Birthday!!
Hope your cool, wet weather doesn't turn super hot and humid like ours in N. Texas has. Have a wonderful day!
Happy Birthday!! It looks like you live in a river! So sad and we are watering almost daily. I would be honored to give your little box a home.
Happy, Happy, Birth Day (Week? Month??)...I’m so far behind I actually thought there for a minute I was ahead LOL. But WOO HOO!!! Finally, a giveaway by you that I didn’t miss!!!!!! Yes, by all means...you keep the bigger box...I’m generous like that. ;-) I’d be happier than a cat in a sandbox to have the smaller. Holy heck....that is a LOT of rain. I thought things were bad here in Nod... Our farmers have not been able to get in the fields, and bugs (and slugs) are more prolific than I ever remember them being. I think we’ve had one day that went above 80 (by 1 or 2 degrees) and that’s been it. Fireplace has been going every night. So not fair after the brutal winter we had...and it seems yours was equally so. As you know, I’ve fallen behind again, but have caught up with your previous posts.... I really and truly love your paint changes...but it is comforting (for some odd reason) to read that you still like the darker colors. I love them both, but do like the simple, uncluttered look you are achieving. Something I don’t even aspire to as I know it is beyond my willpower. I would also not have your patience nor perserverance in getting the right colors, but it wouldn’t matter anywho as no matter how much white (in whatever shade) I slap on the walls, I will still have dark ceilings, and unpaintable/unchangeable wood wherever I turn. (Ya know that “oil base” thing??? Oh yeah....everywhere you look)....and wood EVERYWHERE!!!! It is really something you would have to witness to really grasp.... The beams are rough pine that are stained a dark color....no making them light. Ok...I’m rambling. Hope to keep up better in the days to come. Ark is almost done. ~Robin~
Happy Birthday !
Wishing You Health, Wealth and Lots of Happiness !
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday! I love your boxes, you are so talented. Thank you for offering this generous give away, please enter me in your drawing.

Happy Birthday!!
We have had a lot of dark, rainy days here also.
Kind of depressing!
I would love that box!
Marilyn
I’m not finding much of anything that is the same quality as things we used to buy. That makes me sound like a grouchy old woman I guess and sometimes I am. Like this week when they were putting Christmas stuff out at Hobby Lobby! Blessings, Marlene.
The box is lovely as all of your things are! Hope you have a great and 🌞 sunny birthday!
Happy birthday! Such a cute box.
Thanks for a chance to win- love that box . You are so creative! Happy Birthday
The sun finally appeared here in RI too. I would love the square box, my Marly collections of boxes need a new addition. Happy Birthday . MLV
Very very cute. Thank you for this opportunity.

Happy Birthday Dear Marly. Please enter me too :< )
Happy Birthday Marly!!! And yes, since it's your birthday, you definitely get to keep the box you want. Even more so since you did the work of making it.
Slugs - a strip of copper tape or flashing around the pots might keep the damned things out. I know I've seen copper flashing in home improvement store, the roofing department(?). Not cheap, but reusable and less damaging to your plants than too much salt. I don't know if there's enough copper coating on pennies any more that glueing a bunch of them around the pot would work. I haven't tried it, slugs usually only go after the hostas here, and even then only in spring until hot dry summer hits.
Happy birthday!! The boxes are darling :)
Happy Birthday, Marly! I have a birthday coming up on July 3 and sure would like to share that house box with you! 🥰😉
Thanks for the opportunity!
Happy Birthday Marly! So much rain & cold...WHERE is spring/summer?? Thank you for the lovely giveaway. I would love to add this sweet box to the other one of yours that I treasure. Thank you. Cheryl
Marly, Though I love your sweet box, please don't enter me in the giveaway as I'm giving your lovely PITABP a good home!! I do want to wish you a Happy Birthday! I hope it's a sunny, warm day in your corner of the world. We're finally drying out a bit and warming up in WI.
Enjoy your special day and here's to a better year for you! Cherie in WI
Happy, Happy Birthday...and many more! Yes, we have the sun too...hooray! You are too critical of your work...this sweet box is an absolute treasure...pleas count me entered!!
Patricia
No rain yesterday or in today's forecast but it's gloomy again today. Looks like it will rain. Supposed to get thunderstorms tonight. We've also been bombarded with rain this spring like so many others. My backyard flooded a couple times. Thankful it didn't make it into the house! One day it will turn hot and dry and we'll (I will) whine about that. I did collect 3 large plastic garbage cans of rain water but I have no where to collect more except some 5 gallon buckets. I'll fill what I can and use them first because they don't have lids which means a breeding zone for skeeters which I detest. Happy Birthday again. I think both boxes are lovely and I have so many small sewing notions like buttons & wool scraps, etc, I always find a use for boxes, jars, etc. - Samdra D in Joliet
A very blessed Birthday, Marly. Like so many, I am simply puddled by the house motif on samplers.. that sweet box is no exception..Putting my name in the drawing..
Your road looks like kayak territory and I imagine you will be relieved to see the
area back to normal. We have been inundated by thunderstorms each day, giving way to
some sun in the afternoon. Good luck with the slugs...that copper idea seems worth a try …. Have a great day...
Happy Birthday!
Your boxes are lovely. I order my paper mache boxes from Darice. There is a minimum order required though. Not sure they have the size you require. I have found the ones I need there. None of our craft stores carry anything but a few round boxes.Good luck.
Hope the rain stops soon. Looks like you are being flooded out.
Love the little 3" box. And look forward to your posts every day!

Oh, hasn't this rain been the worst, Marly? I swear I would rather look out and see snow than this stuff. Finally we have a dry weekend--the local news says this was the first weekend since February without precipitation! Grrr...
Wishing you a very happy birthday! And I'm so glad you are keeping one of your beautiful boxes for yourself--you deserve it :) Really hoping this upcoming "new" year is kinder to you, my friend! ♥
The rain has really been too much. Way too humid too. I am so enjoying the lovely weather this weekend at least. Thanks again for a lovely giveaway. And happy birthday too! MC
I hope you have a very happy birthday. The boxes turned out great. That little one is adorable.
A very happy Birthday to you Marly! Wishing you the best of everything! :-)
We've had lots of rain too, but when the sun does show it's so gorgeous (and low humidity)!
While the box is beautiful...please do not include me in the drawing...I'm still "downsizing"... ;-)
Smiles, Sharon
