Brought in the last fern after giving the others to my cousin.
Chased a little brat around the house
until she fell asleep in her usual spot.
And ended the day crabbing about the early darkness.
What did you do today?

Such a cute kitty! It is getting dark too early....just wait till we go back to our usual time....UGH!! But your candlelight I that window is beautiful!! I didn't do a darn thing today except grocery shop and ponder over what sampler to finish (I have three in the works), plus, I'm making some ornaments for the grandkids....so I pondered, and pondered and did nothing! Have a great evening!
That is a cute kitty.
I did some yard work and got one window washed. Sad 😢
I hate changing the time we had this weekend.
Everyone is out of controle and the kitties are begging for food to early.
Today did some work to a Christmas bell for an exchange - hope she will like it.
Have a great day
Greetings, Truus from Holland
I don't care for early evening darkness, but at least this winter I will be able to see sun, other than on weekends. Even so, I hate the time change to dark even earlier. I wish they'd set the time half-way between and leave it there year round. Yesterday, all I got done was perusing the Lacis site, and a bit of hand quilting.
I'm getting rid of lots of STUFF. My dining room table is full of crap that I've had for years, thinking that I just couldn't get rid of...well, took pictures, sent off to the kids to see if there's any interest. Otherwise will be dropping off at a consignment shop this week and if they won't take it, it's off to Goodwill. I'm doing that for the next few weeks until I get this stuff gone.
Went to Walmart yesterday for s few groceries. Bought a copy of Early American Life. It has some beautiful pictures in it this month.
Have been getting more things together to take to consignment shop. Am going to do very little decorating this Christmas. Have not done much for Fall/Halloween.
Have car inspection coming up in Nov., visit to GP in Nov. and real estate tax in Dec.
Not much to look forward to.
Going to make a chicken pot pie today. Hope it will last for a while. Will be going back for more groceries later.
Have moved furniture in my living room. No sofa or chairs yet, but like the furniture that is in there.
My tall case clock is not working right since I moved the furniture. Don't know what happened to it. Will have to take the top off and see if I can fix it. The chimes don't sound right. It had been working perfectly so don't know what has happened.
Going out to dig some weeds out of a front flower bed. It's terrible how crab grass takes over.
I hope you'll have a good day.
Thinking of you.

Marly: The pepper mustard sounds yummy.
I hear you about the darkness, this changing of the clock drives me crazy.
I hope you are getting some great stitching done.

That candle in the window shot is so lovely and serene.. would make a perfect Autumn greeting card. I guess we all agree on the early darkness...or any darkness
while we are awake and wanting to get things done, especially stitching. Whew, Marly, I got exerted just reading your activities for the day, wonder woman. I kept
busy with appointments and then home. I would love to clear the decks like Annmarie
and CM, leaving "spaces in the togetherness."
Hi Marly, I'm with everyone on the early darkness and feel like it's going to be a long winter. UGH! I spent the last 3 days doing yard work to get ready for the 3 inches of snow we woke up to this morning! Way too early for that! I thought of you.....I was crabby!
Take care, Cherie in WI
Did an exercise class at the YMCA. Then walked 2 + miles. Went to a thrift shop and hit Arby's on the way home. Did a little laundry and visited with friends on the phone. Not a very productive day, but enjoyable.
