Jobelan

Greetings folks.  I am working on my crabass Santa and I couldn't remember the colors I use for PS faces.  I think the 407/356 combo is too much color depending on the fabric and coat colors.  While looking through finishes, I realized how much I like the sage Jobelan for Santas.  I gave away quite a few pieces, did not think I would ever use it again.  But as usual, regrets, because I do like the way it looks.  The texture is not there as in linen, but the coverage and crisp background makes Santa stand out.  I remember someone (I think it was Shirlee) looking for the sage but don't remember why since it is still available.  Mine was from decades ago, is the current sage Jobelan unlike the old?  Anyone know?

I cancelled Eve and Christmas dinners.  I'm really not well and the decongestant meds have dried me out to the point I can't talk for longer than a few minutes.  I may call the doctor tomorrow.  I have a hard time swallowing with the Sjogren dryness but with the cold meds I can barely get food down.  I can't enjoy the meal and can't talk with anyone for long so we will postpone dinners.  I may make a muffuletta for brunch on the 25th, hope to be better by then.

Petey got close to Bud this morning and was crying to him.  No hissing, no growling, just the same cry he gives to me.  Bud did not respond.  He is trying hard to fit in and I plan to take his photo to several vet offices to see if he is recognized.  He was definitely someone's indoor cat.  Saw another FB post of a cat that was left at the curb of a highway with his bed and litter box.

Getting down to the wire folks!
Hope you're all ready.

I checked my PS boys and all I see is 407/356 used for the faces. You probably want something lighter ?
So sorry you're not feeling well. I hope whatever has a hold on you will leave quickly.
I'm fixing parts of dinner (probably Christmas Eve) in bits and pieces. Can't do the whole thing in one day anymore.
I wish Petey could be accepted by your kitties. He's such a handsome kitty.
Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy, healthy New Year.

That's funny, Marly, but I just stitched a PS Santa on sage jobelan and loved the final look as well. You're right--the colors look wonderful on it. I don't enjoy stitching on 32 ct. due to having to use two threads, but I do like the final look.

Sorry about your Christmas plans going down the tubes, but you need to take care of yourself first. My husband just arrived from FL with a lovely cold today and I am keeping well clear of him! Take care now and I hope you feel better very soon. I know your condition makes that difficult :(

Oh I hope this crud goes away soon. So sorry your plans had to be scrapped. I've been hit with a bit of vertigo again. Fingers crossed it's better by tomorrow -- big cooking day!

Sure hope you are better. This is such a bad time to be sick. It happened to me a few years ago.

Sorry about the cancelled plans but I agree with the others - time to put yourself first for a day or three.

Bud was probably giving all kinds of response to Petey, but of the sort we humans don't comprehend - a twitch of the ear, move of the tail, staring (or not) etc.

Marly, I'm sorry you had to postpone your Christmas dinners. I hope you're feeling better soon.
I just ordered a pretty sage jobelan from 123stitch to stitch a PS Santa on. I ordered 25 ct. and am going to stitch over 1, but I'm sure they have it in other counts, as well.

Merry Christmas to you and your family. Cherie in WI

Merry Christmas GF.... I have been trying to get back to Blogland for a while again, but have been struggling...and don't trust what will come out of my fingers LOL.... Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Fortunately, I have escaped the flu/cold/crud going around so far, but, yikes, I have had the dry mouth thing going on for the past several months. I also had a bit of an issue with it due to medications, but could somewhat control it. I never realized what you must be dealing with. I am sure mine is nothing compared to yours, but I certainly can relate a bit better. I've canceled Christmas here this year...no tree no nada. Frankly, I will be glad when it's all over. Bah Humbug. ~Robin~

Sorry you are feeling so bad, or is that badly? I agree take care of yourself, I think another Dr visit is in order. Who knows maybe Petey will win Bud over, it would be a Christmas Miracle. Be well soon.
