Corner doors

Hey!  Just wanted to show a few tiny corner units that I think are really unique.  Extending Grace is a lovely shop in Hubbard Ohio and I saw this on their Instagram and FB page featuring their offers, so I did a little searching and found other examples on Pinterest.

Have you ever seen this done?

Cut an old door in half with a miter or straight cut, add some thick shelves, and what a great unit for a small corner.  Never saw this before!   But if we find a door and try it, I have to remember to cut one side shorter by the thickness of the wood so when it overlaps the other half, they will be the same depth.  Our table saw does not have an extension so cutting this length on a miter would be tricky.

Getting ready to head out onto the bad roads with Bud.  He remembers the carrier and is hiding.  This won't be pleasant for him but it's necessary, he needs antibiotics.

Thanks for the suggestions on Ann.  Haven't made a plan yet but I need to soon because I can't do any other motifs until I figure out if all will need to be moved.  I'm thinking that should be the case, and I can go back and correct the culprit later if I choose to.

Have a good day!!

A third autoimmune disease?! You have a hell of a way to be an overachiever. In all seriousness though, I have no idea what to say, other than to let you know I do think about you and wish you some good health news for once.

As far as the sampler, I'd probably leave it as is and as don't use those areas to count from, and decide about redoing the butterfly after the surrounding areas are done. If you don't say anything, no one will know about the errors. Although, I suspect you won't be happy unless you redo it, because *you* will know it's not right.

I have seen those corner door shelves. I have mixed feelings - part of me likes them, another part of me knows there are people looking for doors to restore houses. But shelves or headboards are a better use that possibly sitting out rotting or ending up on the burn pile.

It's possible Petey doesn't hunt because he never learned from his mother, not possible declawing. Or simple laziness now that he has a regular food source. We got our Leroy at about 6 weeks old and he had NO idea what to do with a mouse. Yet others have had declawed cats that hunted rabbits successfully.

Love the doors, the panels and handle give a unique look. Hope Bud feels better. Mine hear the handle klink on carrier and take off. Totally ruins their day.

Cute idea, I have no corners. well I of course have corners bot not empty. Cats don't remember they are just psychic, they can tell by our thoughts. Spooky, good luck.
