Well, not happy. Just pleased. For a while. A short while. Then I went back to being upset with myself for a number of reasons. So here is the change and what a difference.
The yellow cast is gone. The trim is now a soft not-quite-white and much easier to live with. But will I be happy since I really like the colonial colors on woodwork? Not for the narrow hall of doors. It needed to be lightened and uniform to appear larger.
The framed piece on the wall is my parent's original wedding photo behind curved glass.
You can't see my grandparents' photos which are on the wall to my right.
I haven't started another sampler because I am wavering on linen color. It's Gigi R's design on 36 count something. Leaning toward the Lambswool. Bingo. That's it. I'm crabby as hell and tired of indecision whether intentional or justified. Do I do this because I am a procrastinator or because I am delaying picking up the needle again? Does it matter? Not really. Putting on my big (and I mean big) girl panties, it's Lambswool. You know you're a big girl when your thong looks like a hammock.
Stay safe!

Glad you are happy with the color. How wonderful to have such a picture of your parents.
Oh....I love the transformation!! And damn....it just makes me all the crabassier over my color choices at the lake....or lack thereof I guess I should say. Because I suffer from intense indecision myself, I relinquished control to those doing the painting. I warned them I didn't want anything "fleshy/peachy" looking...and it isn't...it's YELLOWISH!! Gah! So that's what I get. Love the photo of my mum and dad....what a handsome fellow your dad was! I have my parent's' wedding photo too, but have never had it framed...I guess because it would spook me every time I looked at it...I look too very much like my mother in that photo LOL..... I hope I forget the comment about the thong or I will never look at a hammock the same way again.
What a treasure to have that beautiful wedding portrait of your parents! And I love how much brighter the hall is with the new color- good choice!
I love the new paint job, it`s so soft and beautiful, you really did pick the perfect color. The wedding picture of your parents is so neat, such a different time in which we live now. It reminds me of my great grand parents wedding photo which I treasure even though it`s quite small and not on the wall. A much simpler time indeed. Can`t wait to see your next stitching project as your last one was so beautiful. I hope your eyes cooperate! Take care Marly.
I'm happy that you're happy with your new paint. Looks so nice and clean and fresh.
Your parent's wedding picture is beautiful as is the frame.
Getting so tired of the rain and "stay at home" demands.
Oh, for some sunshine !
Take care !

The paint is a great choice Marly. The wedding picture is so beautiful. Will you not share your grandparent's wedding portrait as well please? I would love to see it!
I like the hall color, *much* better. If I hadn't known you painted, I'd think you changed the light bulb to a daylight version. Remember those OttLight advertisements showing regular light bulbs vs. their lights showing color differences?
My indecision on stitching & sewing projects is usually "is there something out there I'd like better?" or "what if I'm disappointed in the result?"
WOW! That is an amazing difference for the hallway. Much less hectic. Love the wedding picture. A real treasure. Very descriptive thong comment. you kill me. so funny. hugs.
Marly: What a difference the color change made, wowzer.
The wedding photo is beautiful, it is hard to find curved glass anymore.
Stay Healthy
