No Sulky but not sulking

Hiya friends.  Guess how many walnut sundaes (vanilla ice cream, walnuts, reduced maple syrup) I had today.  Guess how many pounds continue to add up as I fail to control myself.  Guess who can't fit into any pants!  Stores will be opening soon and I don't have pants!

I've been wanting five of the Fragments in Time 2017 for some time.  My cart held them at 123 for various times as one became unavailable, then another.  Trying to save on postage, I decided to place the order when all were in stock.  They would send me an in stock notice, I would go to the site and before I clicked to place the order, another would become unavailable.  Today was the last time and I can't take the chance any longer that I would get all five.  An online scramble ensued and I found one on sale for half price, shipping was $7.50 for a $2.50 chart.  No thanks.  Etsy failed, other shops failed, so it was on to the Bay of Evil where I found four.  They will be here in a week.  But no Sulky until the next online shop order.

One day I will learn to stop procrastinating or taking chances to save a few bucks on shipping.  Not the first time it's happened, hope I've learned my lesson.

Hoping to sleep well tonight.
Stay safe!!

Hey Marly...do you like stitching with Sulky threads? I'm trying the cotton 12 weight and the jury is still out. I don't think it gives enough coverage for 28 count, so I'm going to try it on 32 count I only bought the six spool kit. Glad you were able to get your patterns. I can't believe how cross stitch has just blown up!! Have a great night!

One of my biggest peeves is getting gouged on shipping! That chart probably could have been put in a manila envelope and shipped for a dollar of so.
I know what you mean about unkind scales! We will all do better soon 🤣

At first I thought, everyone would be losing weight . Not being about to go the stores, but then Whole Foods does deliver ice cream and my husband has been ordering candy from Amazon. Really pounds of candy!! Luckily I am not a sweet fan but still most candy individually wrapped so Halloween can not come soon enough. Will we have Halloween this year ? We have already discussed whether Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers will be happening. Not sure, Husband afraid ( heart and lung problems anyway). I have loved those Fragments in Time patterns for ages but have never given in. Yet! Be well everyone.

Agreeing with Eveningstitcher. I started to crochet in January and do other crafts as well. Supplies are going fast. Can you believe loops to make potholders are selling out ! Bought my grandniece a kit and now looking for just the loops without spending a lot on shipping. Trying to see if I can make them instead. I really like Fragments in Time. You have great taste.

Sweet stitches!! Ummmm, yeah....guilty. I get all twisted up when I finally find a chart, but the same place doesn't have the linen for that chart (you probably wouldn't understand, but I generally like using the called-for linen ;-) )...or vice versa. I hold out saying I am not going to pay 2x the shipping and then the chart or linen becomes unavailable...and THEN I break down and buy the other. What the heck? I've been on a DQ bing lately. Ruh roh. ~Robin~
