I can't believe how many we have. Six males at one time on several feeders.
We had to go to Lowe's, Carole wanted a new hand held shower with a magnetic dock. I hate to order all these items she wants online because they're never what she expects, so I would rather shop local. During that outing I went to Kraynak's outdoor center and found just want I wanted. Well, I wanted the larger one with a jelly bowl in the center but Mark thought this was enough.
Checking it out....
We're pretty excited to have seen them in time to offer food and they accepted our invitation to stay. One pair would have been great, had no idea there would be so many.

Such a beautiful bird!
How lucky you are to have these beauties put on a show right in your own backyard! Gorgeous!
It seems everyone is posting pics of them this year. So pretty.
Marly: I love these photos, the Oriole's are so beautiful, we have also had many visiting plus the hummingbirds are back.
Stay Healthy

Marly, how lucky you are to have so many orioles this year. It's been so cold here in WI that they are sort of dribbling in. I've had a pair for the last week, so I'm hoping they're nesting. If you put some nesting material out, you may get them to stay. You should be able to buy it at a hardware store that sells birdseed or someplace like Wildbirds Unlimited. Enjoy them while they're there.

Seems you had perfect timing to open your "Juice Bar" for the birds!!!
What a treat to be able to see them, and I do hope they stay!!

Great way to begin my day - Thanks for sharing.
Take care and wishes for a wonderful day - warmer here in Dayton, Ohio but rainy over the next few days
Love the bird pictures!!!!!
Love those Orioles. When we lived a half hour north of here in the country, we had them show up when we put our oranges.
I've had a couple of oriole stop by for a few days the last couple of years, then they move on. Perhaps if I have a feeder ready for them ahead of time, maybe they'd stick around?
That is amazing, I had one once years ago . So of course I got a special feed and guess what ...never returned. I bet he was just lost anyway.
I'm in Illinois and we have a lot also. They came the beginning of last week. We also have catbirds and a bird I never seen before eating the jelly. I think it's called an orchard oriole. My Orioles haven't touched the orange but are gobbling jelly like crazy and drinking lots of nectar. We've had some hummingbird activity but not as much. I put a second hanger in the back where the other birds won't scare them off. I can't sit and watch that hanger like the one in the front yard. I went to the place that I get my jars of jelly a couple weeks ago and they had tons. I went back Tuesday and they were sold out but they did have squeeze bottles of a berry/grape mix. I bought 6 bottles and they seem to like it. I hope Menards will begin to get their nectar and jelly in-I went the same day while I was out and they didn't have any yet. They always seem to be later. We also had some Grosbeaks but I've cut back on birdseed because I'm sick of the all the gluttens like squirrels, gracos, starlings and red wing blackbirds. When they finish off the seeds they raid the suet so the woodpeckers (I have 3 different kind plus a nuthatch) have nothing. I wouldn't mind but they just sit and eat until nothing is left for the songbirds I would like to see. The cardinals come now and then and I have an upside down thistle feeder for the Goldfinches. The Blue Jays come now and then and I've never witnessed the bullying some people complain about. Guess I have to take the good with the bad. Have a great upcoming weekend
So beautiful ! Would love to see some in my yard.......never have in all the 53 years here.
Have had grosbeaks........they are beautiful too.
Have a nest with two eggs in my boxwood bush/tree (so big). May be babies by now. Didn't want to disturb Mom. She flies away every time I go near, but I see her flying into the bush when I'm on my deck.
Saw a big blackbird chasing, what I think, was a hawk yesterday. The hawk was probably trying to get into the blackbird's nest.
Have a good Friday and wonderful weekend. It's supposed to be warm here. Am going to soak up the warmth. Hate having the AC on.

They are smart--they know a good thing when they see it.
Orioles are pretty....and there seems to be a great many of them this year. I don't feed them...they seem always so "temporary" LOL I do feed the hummers though...but haven't seen any in these parts yet. (Always the procrastinator, I wait until I see them before I make the nectar). I am boycotting Menards....they are now requiring that masks be worn....and I just can't. I am too flipping claustrophobic....plus it makes me touch my face 100x more than I normally would. I HAD to wear one when I went to see the oncologist this week...he wanted me to look at my test results, but I couldn't because my glasses would fog up....my ears were sore when I left, and I had already begun a rash on my face by the time I left. Yikes. It's a business's perogative to require them...and I guess if they do, it's mine to shop online. Gah! This world is getting so dang crazy. Anywho....everyone's entitled to their own opinion so they say. Enjoy the bird watching! ~Robin~
