In the position

that so many others have been and continue to be.  Just came back from Carole's and watched the ambulance leave.  She had a mini stroke affecting only her speech last night, another this morning.  They don't last long but against her pleading, they took her for testing and observation.  But I can't go.  Can't visit.  Can't be there to hear test results.  So like the majority of citizens with in-hospital family members, here I sit.  And wait.

Oh that is not fun for sure. I had an emergency room visit a few months ago and my husband was stuck in the parking lot for hours waiting to hear what was going on because while I was told I could use my cell phone, I had no service, so finally a Dr. called him for me. Nothing serious, but felt so alone. I don't know how people do it with loved ones near death and unable to be there with them, which despite Covid, I think is very harsh and unwarranted. That being said, know you and your sister are in my prayers, her for recovery and you for your upcoming procedure. God bless!!

So sorry, a sad testament to what has happened to our lives. How quickly everything changed. Thoughts and prayers for her and for you, high anxiety is not good for a person with immune disorders.
