Back to basic!

No more eyes until page two.  I tried the center method and there was a slight improvement in my stitch.  Some of my stitches have threads overlapping in the eye, and coming up through it seemed to help.  But I only did a few for comparison.  I was anxious to be done with them and followed my routine.  I can't find the site (linked from Pinterest) that showed the reversed method.  It's obviously not the one used or taught by skilled needleworkers.

The 830 does not look as green as in the photo.

It's drizzling, a light soft rain.   This isn't one very long cat under the rain tub.  Nitzy's legs and Bud's head.

Found out this morning that I have to have the surgery on my toe  done over.   Not happy at all that a pin will be sticking out of it for four weeks.  Just the thought has me creeped out and imagining how removal will feel.

I am able to comment on blogs and IG now, but still not getting all my mail.  Google is separating it into files/folders that I am not familiar with, used Windows mail before.

Have a good day!!

So sorry you have to have that pin out. My daughter had to have two pins taken out of her femur about 6 months after she broke it when she was 15. She thought that surgery was much easier than the original. Hopefully the same will be true for you. Love the stitching. The kitties are cute as they are trying to stay dry.

So sorry about the toe. Not something to look forward to :(
Most of the rain passed us by today. That bummed me out. We are so dry...but that is typical August.

I have never heard of the center method or the reversed method. I've been stitching since I was 15 and I am still learning new things all the time. I hope something works for you.

Ugh.... more surgery? Noooo! I'm so sorry. I would be like you - seeing a pin sticking out of my toe.... no no no no no. Sending a big hug.....

Sorry you need the toe redone, but at least a good excuse to not wear shoes? Or do they say wear them to protect the pin?

So sorry about the upcoming toe surgery, Marly. That does sound painful and uncomfortable. Save lots of stitching projects to do while you're down for the count.

Your sampler is looking great and that is interesting about the different eyelet methods. Will have to check them out. I haven't done eyelets very often, but they do make a sampler so special.

Enjoy these last few days of August--I just don't know where the summer has gone!
