I am so glad I toned down the green, I really disliked that strong pink on it and I wish I would have studied the colors first. I rarely follow the chart colors and would have used more apricot and rust than pink, maybe even eliminated one or two. But since I had no intention to start over, toning the linen helped greatly. Usually the DMC is not affected in a diluted and quick dip, but this time the 543 became more pink. I decided to change the house to the soft blue used elsewhere (in place of more pink) and I think it will be fine.
I am much more comfortable with what most stitchers consider boring - alphabets and letters. I'm just not crazy about motif work.
So how will this be finished? Could be hemmed and just displayed on a table top, hung from a shelf's edge, framed. But I am picturing this as an open book. Sort of a flat fold that stands on its own, open with both sides displayed. The spools with Bethia and ???? can be added to create a little grouping with the "book" and for now, that's the plan.
Carole is finally feeling human, antibiotics seem to be helping.
Have a good day!!

Happy to hear that Carole is feeling better.
Take care and enjoy your stitching.
Greetings, Truus from Holland
Thank goodness for antibiotics........so glad Carole is feeling better.
I, too, would rather stitch the alphabet....do enjoy stitching Santas though.
Have a restful, pain free, enjoyable weekend.

You are so good at making changes to your stitching. I'm the opposite. I like motif work but stitching alphabets is not my favorite. Seems there are quite a few people around here with a cold. Hope Carole continues to improve and hope you heal quickly. Take care.
Love the idea of the "book" grouped with the spools.Your fine stitching
will make it all the more special. So glad that Carol is improving
and hope she will be fully recovered soon. Praying you can relax and
heal in the meantime.
When I stitch, I prefer alphabets and numbers. I dislike large motifs, like houses.
Happy to hear Carole is doing better.
Wow....you're really booming along! I'm not very visual and am not "seeing" what you are thinking of when you say an open book finish... Hope you do that so I can see what you mean LOL. Glad Carole is finally on the mend. Carry on ~Robin~
Good news on Carole, and I hope your foot is on the mend as well. Did you end up with a pin in it?
I like a mix of letters & motifs. I tend to get bored if too much letters, and peeved with too much motifs that require close attention to counting and ripping out if wrong.
