Hello people. Just a few more days before 2020 is over, but I don't expect 2021 to be any better for quite a while.
If we do not expect betterment, even the slightest improvement will create joy and hope. If we are expecting great things, the slightest improvement will not be appreciated.

So. I am no worse, other than hot flashes clashing with chills, like an ice bucket bath after a sauna. But I can't take my favored remedy. I am again hoping my continued decline is from a temporary cause. Much worse today and possibly from the cold med antihistamine so I stopped it.
I still haven't heard a word from the adults and that ticks me off. Every year I ask them to at least inform me if the sizes are correct, allow me to exchange if not. Never happens. This evening I have a few things to order and since every cat has claimed a house, need to order another. That large A-frame holds several but every time one tries to squeeze in, the house starts a rockin. They drive me nuts. Mobile vet is closed but will bring his trailer here next week and determine what should be done with Bud.
My question, at the very end, is if anyone has had a problem printing my free charts. It was brought to my attention and after some checking, google/blogger has changed the way the photo opens and there is a difference depending on browser. I use Chrome now and made a few adjustments to the charts, please let me know if there are any others not printing properly.
Sun was out briefly and Mark told me to bundle up and get in the car. He picked up my mouth gel order, a few food items, and went into Kohl's with Carole's returned gift and my Amazon return. It was actually good to be out after a week, came home with several iced coffees for the fridge. I really missed the after Christmas sales, usually when I stock up on tissue and such.

Celebrate the final days of 2020, twenty years after Y2K. Does not seem possible.

When I think that 911 was 20 years ago I cannot believe how much has happened to me personally and in the world. My mother always said it was a good thing that God held the future from us. I am thrilled to make it to the next week anymore. So sorry you are still under the weather.(so to speak) You need to let yourself rest a bit, stop worrying about everyone else for a day or two. Oye....You had to bring up that Y2K thing, didn't ya? Now, yes. I do feel damn old. But at least it is one New Year's Eve that I remember very clearly...where I was, who I was with, etc. Guess even scares can have their silver linings. Finally, I have to admit I puzzled long and hard over your comment about missing the after-Christmas sales because that was when you stocked up on your tissue. At first I thought, well, she can't mean toilet paper...she must me Kleenex tissue...and then I realized you meant tissue PAPER. That tells you either (A) how jaded and screwed up this COVID crap has us or (B) how long it has been since I have wrapped a Christmas gift or (C) both of the above. You are spot on with the expectations thing. So many seem to think on January 1, things will be back to normal. I'll be happy if we're done wearing masks and things are halfway normal by end of the year. It will all depend on the actions of those who can't be arsed to wear a mask and then say they won't get vaccinated either.
It seems like gift cards would save you SO much work and aggravation. But Carole will not stand for it, IIRC? My FIL was the same way, money or gift cards were not presents. I'd go with thinking the sizes are OK, as I'm sure you'd hear about it if not. I suppose including gift receipts and letting the recipients handle the returns or exchanges is also out of the question? As TheCrankyCrow said - at least the cats appreciate your efforts. Even sadder when your blog readers show more appreciation that the recipients.
I'm no help on the printing thing, I saved the patterns a couple of years ago, not stitched them yet though :-/ Not only that, but my computer and browser are a bit out of date.
I hope you start feeling better, and that it's holiday stress, relatives, and cold meds making you feel worse and not that the Sojgrens is worse. Good for Mark on dragging you out for a drive and bit of change in scenery. Give Bud a pat for me.
