Swans

A quiet relaxing weekend for me, I hope for you also.

Except for the Christmas and Memorial pears, all others were offered in my giveaway.  If I remember correctly (why can't I remember to label posts) Charlotte won the final pear, Swan Song.  It was sort of honoring the resident pair of swans that lived in Buhl Park, tragically, recklessly, and suspected to be intentionally hit and killed by a vehicle.  I've always considered stitching it again, I do love it.  I follow sampler stitcher Brenda (who doesn't?) and recently saw her finish of WYNT Manor at Quaker Hill ... OMG stunning.  It reminded me of my final pear so I pulled the chart and it's in my Magma.  It's doesn't come close to the sampler of course, but since I am reckless, lazy, and impatient, the pear has a better chance of being stitched.  The colors in this sampler are just amazing, maybe I could use some of those pinks in the vine, probably change my blue birds to a lighter shade.

With Eliquis, I was told that one Advil a few times a week is acceptable.  Oh baby.  Let's see if that allows my hand to hold that needle!!

Have a good day folks. Stay safe.

So sad about the swans. How? How? How does a person decide that it would be fun to torture and kill an animal? I also wonder why the community cannot replace and protect another pair.

I hope the Advil works. I know that it usually did when I was having a miserable time with my hands. I love that you are going to work on another pear.

I didn't really need to hear about those swans. I have no real hope for fellow humans these days and that sorta was the real kicker. :-( Good luck with the Advil. Sometimes it dulls things enough that I don't rip heads off...but that's about all. Good thing self-medication is not possible...I'd be long gone. ~Robin~

Love your pears and have made several of them, but gave away so no one is left. Have to download the charts again because they are on my old laptop and I don't have access to it anymore-windows 7.
Did make some stitches yesterday for the first time since June and have enjoyed it!
So sad that there are people that do such bad things with animals.
Here it is a very stormy weather and rain.
Stay save and take care.
Greetings, Truus from Holland

You are correct about who has the beautiful "Swan song" pear. I love it, cherish it and am so grateful that I was the winner. I remember you telling me the story about the swans. So sad. Thank you again.
I have stitched all of your "free" pear charts. Love them.
We keep the mini Advil liquid gels here all of the time. There is now a Tylenol/Advil mix that might be helpful too. We swear by Advil. I hope it will help your hands.
Have a good week before the New Year.
Hugs,
Charlotte in Va.

I cannot understand why anyone would want to kill a swan. There are very sick people in this world. Congratulations CM Designs on your win!!!!
