Ewe & Eye

Didn't they have some really special little projects?  Not routine, most with a few specialty stitches, but small enough to not be daunting.  So why did I sell most all?  This Christmas Sampler was one I had missed and thanks to Laura, discovered.  And found on Ebay.  The very small chart photos are hard to examine but I grabbed it without hesitation because I do love the elements.  Will of course darken the thread color for those areas not displaying.  Next project?

I've been disappointed in two recent online orders that list items as in stock only to discover they sold out before mine could be filled.  It's not like I need them now, but I want them now.  I have a short attention span and will change my mind about wanting them by the time I get them.

But tonight, I am planting my butt and during stitching breaks, scouring the atmosphere for whatever I want.  After news of another issue, I deserve to pamper myself a bit.  I've mentioned the progressing Sjogrens and how miserable I was.  The last two days have been more painful and unrelenting, with a loss of taste.  On top of the dryness and fissured tongue, BMS (Burning Mouth Syndrome) (not to be confused with Bitching Mouth Syndrome) has been diagnosed.  What the hell is that?  Simple.  Your fricking tongue is on fire.  Always.  And feels like it's waking from numbness.  Months to years duration.  Ice cream and sweet decaf iced coffee have become mainstays in my daily diet.  Watermelon is very comforting but that's a long way off.  C'mon summer!!!

I hope all is well with you!!

I really like the apple? branch and bowl of fruit on that.
I'm sorry to hear of your awful situation. A co-worker was telling me just today about her sister who was given the shingles vaccination and became deathly ill, a month later is still struggling to function and may have permanent issues. It's horrible.
I wanted to look at the Dan Campanelli needlework book in the general books section at my library, but it has been stolen. There is a copy in the special reference section I will try to look at next week, I'm curious if there's a mention of Mrs. Rhoda in it.
May good health find you as soon as possible.

I hope the pain in your tongue will subside very soon. Had a small place on the tip of my tongue that was sore so can just imagine what you are going through.
Enjoy the ice cream. Stock up ! If that helps that should be your "go to" pleasure.
Thinking of you !

That is a nice little sampler.

When I saw the words "loss of taste" I held my breath thinking the next words would be "I got covid". So, I'm relieved it's not that, but for this to last months/years on top of your Sjogren's symptoms Royally. Sucketh. ((( hugs )))

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well.
I did that wonderful little sampler and it is beautiful. I used a darker linen so all the colors showed up. It could be the lighting when the photo was taken. Now, you are probably going to ask. oh what color of fabric did you use?....have no idea have forgotten..so sorry.....I love their little samplers. Enjoy stitching it!

Marly: Oh my gosh I am so sorry you are having these health problems, I sure hope they find a cure or something to help you my dear sweet friend.
I do like the Sampler it is lovely.
I have ordered items to only be told a day later they are not available, makes me so mad and yes I do sometimes have the bitchy mouth, sometimes it makes me feel better to just let go and
and use a few choice words.
Have a lovely day

Eeeek. I simply cannot imagine. I have a nasty habit of biting my tongue (bother literally and figuratively, but right now I am talking about the literal tongue backing) and it is a crazy bad kind of hurt. I would never want to have that all over my mouth on a long-term basis. I struggle coping with dryness (nasty side effects of the drugs I'm on)....I truly don't know how you do it. There wouldn't be enough ice cream to make me stop bitching. BTW....did you ever hear anything further about the AK??? I have been hoping and praying it ain't so. I would not wish that on my worst enemy...of which there seem to be many these days. ~r~

PS...nice little sampler. I didn't know (remember??) that they did cross stitch designs. I know I've done a few of their punched designs. Or was it hooked?? Crickets...this growing old crap ain't for sissies.

Remember as a child, a Dr's remedy of ice cream for a condition would have been a message from Heaven? Consider yourself 6 years old and enjoy the RX
for BMS. Just love this little sampler and hope it gives you pleasure, once you amend it to your liking.

I'm so sad that this horrible syndrome just keeps making your life more miserable, Marly--I really can't imagine!

Love the little Ewe & Eye design, Marly. I have quite a collection of them so if you ever want to borrow one, you know where to find me ♥
