Your Christmas Sampler turned out so pretty, Marly! I really like the way you stitched the fruit in the basket and your subtle changes are perfect... These small pieces are full of instant gratification, aren't they?! Enjoy your sunny Sunday ♥
Hi Marly! You're not intruding at all. Thanks for your concern. Our niece was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer as you know. She went to a different hospital in a different state to get a 2nd opinion. Unfortunately the 2nd doctor agreed with the 1st doctor that it is indeed stage IV lung cancer. Meaning it has spread to both lungs. Understandably her immediate family is in shock and sad and hasn't given out too much information. They did mention that it had possibly spread to her bones. We don't want to pry and figure they will tell the extended family when they are ready. It is so sad given that she has lived a healthy life up until this point. She is on chemo in pill form and hopefully that buys her some time. Prayers are appreciated of course. I hope you are feeling better.
Love this little sampler--it is beautiful! I didn't stitch since last summer so I admire your will to stitch! Hope the sun is still shining with you and Bud isn't too unwell. Greetings, Truus from Holland
You've got me putting a Christmas sampler on my list.....looks great and I enjoy doing a seasonal sampler off season....I'll be doing a winter sampler probably May or June. Take care
Hadn't realized that your new sampler was a Christmas one. I love it ! I hope you had a good weekend and will have a good week ahead. Thinking of you ! Charlotte in Va.
You have a remarkable gift for making me want to stitch what you stitch when I likely wouldn't have thought twice about it just seeing the pattern. Beautiful! And I so wholeheartedly agree with your choice on the border (well, and your other tweaks as well of course!) ~Robin~
Lovely. This really evokes Colonial stitching. My grandmother, who was Pennsylvania Dutch, made a sort of spiced apple dish at Christmastime, and the bowl of apples for some reason to my odd brain, reminds me of that retro dish of hers.

Isnt it amazing what differences linen and thread color choices can bring?! (no disrespect to the designer, but I definitely favor your version!)
So sweet and so much tinier than I was picturing it.
Happy Sunday and I hope it is a good one for you ;-)
So pretty. Love the colors.
Marly: This is so pretty, I like the color changes.
Have a wonderful day.

Lovely!
Will you give us your color choices? Your fruit basket is the best ever.

That is just beautiful! Wishing you a good week!
Very cute!
I love your fabric and floss choices and how you added additional motifs for balance. Nice and folky. Beautiful work all round. Blessings, Carla
Gorgeous finish.
