It is with absolute joy that I report on the failure of my local doctors, hospitals, PAs, NPs that continued to deny this lung problem could be from Covid whenever I asked. But it IS!!! This morning's CT scan by my request showed it is NOT IPF!! I have groups of tiny glasslike particles in one lung as a result of Covid pneumonia, not definitive on an xray, yet a single xray is all this diagnosis was based on. Being tested again, put on another round of antibiotics, told that they are not quite certain, but it does seem to be the cause of my cough and ill health. And regardless of the hell they put me through, I am grateful.
I am so sorry for the prior post. The pros were so positive of IPF and I have been in a panic for weeks, and if I hadn't demanded a CT scan which they claimed was not necessary, we would continue believing the devastating diagnosis.
We're having a party baby!! I'm picking out a few charts and gifts for the celebration. Feeling poorly will in no way stop the exuberance and joy. But If they call back to tell me another error was made, you should be able to hear the blast wherever you are.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. YOUR COMMENTS BROUGHT TEARS TO MY DRY EYES AND I SAVED THEM IN A FILE, CLOSE TO MY HEART.
You have no idea how you've touched me.
The bitch is back baby!!!
p.s. to Sweet Ann. Card was already mailed, ignore the part about the wallet's return!!

YAY!! YAY!! YAY!! I just read your last post and was crying with sadness and now, I'm crying with happiness. Could not be happier for you, Marly! You're back--the very best news!!
OMG the best news ever.....I am so HAPPY, Dancing in my sewing room. Your Back is RIGHT!
Thank God you demanded the CT scan!! I read the previous post and I really had to 'think on it", you know? Looking for the right words. And instead, YOU have the right words. Hallelujah! I am so glad you are the patient from hell! Hahaha Love you!
Do not be sorry for you previous post. It got me on my knees storming heaven for you!! You have also taught me how important it is to be your own advocate(and advocate for those you love that need help) for health related issues.
My prayers will continue for you Marly!! You continue to amaze and teach me.
That was one hell of a diet you were on for a couple of weeks.
So very, very happy you were misdiagnosed. That sounds oxymoronic...but truly what great news.
xoxo
Oh, MAN. That is the most fabulous news ever. I thought about you all day yesterday, considering all the ins and outs of the awfulest diagnosis ever. So glad for a brighter day for you -- and for us. We love you and we didn't want to mourn you.
Welcome back bitch! We love you and we are soooo relieved!!!
The power of prayer baby!! So pleased and relieved for you. Good thing you are a persistent little crab ass insisting on getting the proper attention. What a thing to have to go through. Have the party of all parties friend and know everyone is so very happy for you! May God continue to bless you!
Dear Carol, I am just catching up. I cannot imagine the agony you have been going through. I am so happy you were misdiagnosed! I am so relieved for you. You are such a blessing to so many and I am so thankful you were assertive and demanded a CT scan. Continued prayers for your health.
OMG is right!! How horrible to put you through that...but it makes you realize what a blessing life truly is...God Bless and still sending prayers..
Thank God!!!
Hope that the antibiotics will be working and that you will be feeling better soon!
Keeping you in my thoughts!!

Well, that calls for a major dancing! I would turn a cartwheel, but I don't want to break anything. Hallelujah and praise the Lord!
Best news of the day!
Well, sweet Jesus and holy shit! What a roller coaster you have been on, Marly! I’m still sending the card I wrote earlier today because the message does not change. I’m so so so relieved that you are persistent and an advocate for your own health. I’m going to share your story, anonymously and anecdotally, with people when I tell them how important it is to question, seek second opinions and be your own best advocate. Thank God you persisted.
Sending a hug and a woot! woot! I hope you feel better soon.
Hugs, Meg
What an incredible relief and joy to hear this news! Praying for your complete recovery from this diagnosis so you can get back to your routine! Thank you for continuing to share your life openly and honestly.
Absolutely WONDERFUL news!! I'm so very happy for you and hope your system heals quickly.
With humongous hugs, Jan
Oh my....Marly what a great news for you and Mark!!!
I don't know how this illness is card in the US but it's called Sarcoidose with us. It can be in several parts of your body and Sjogren is one of this.
It's such a great news--have a great weekend and take care.
Lots of love and blessings to you!!!ππΌπππΉ

I had missed your previous post but am beyond delighted at this awesome news! Thank God doctors, nurses and others are human and on occasion make a mistake that leads to great news! Singing hallelujah!
Smiling, crying, laughing out loud! Bless you! Many prayers answered and will continue from all those who are pulling for you!
Wow! Quite a roller-coaster. Happy to hear that things are no so dire after all. Enjoy your weekend!
Marly, Hallelujah, holy shit!
I couldn’t be happier for you and Mark! Party hardy and enjoy this wonderful news! ❤️
You have been in my thoughts since I read your blog, and just want you to know how happy I am for you!
What wonderful, wonderful news!! But I could strangle whoever gave you that scare! I'm so happy right now, and feeling so grateful for this news!
Holy crap, Marly!!! Wonderful news but let me tell you, I want to just scream at your doctors. I am so happy for you and grateful for this news.
Someday, I will tell you my horror story of misdiagnosis but for now, I am praising God and doing a happy dance!
OMG and Holy Shit for sure! and should probably throw in a few 'unbelievable; what-the-hell were those medical professionals thinking'? but i'm mostly going with yippee, hallelujah, and so grateful and happy for your revised diagnosis!
I am so glad to hear your good news. Keeping you and those you love in my prayers.
I am SOOOOOO happy to hear your wonderful news!!!! My mom and sister were diagnosed with Sjogren's a couple of years ago and when I read what was happening with you, it just hit home a bit too hard....definitely time for a party for you :) Keeping you in my prayers!!!!
This is the best news I have heard for a long while and although COVID19 isn't good well it is certainly better than the other diagnosis. Well done you for standing your ground and asking for a CT Scan. I am so glad for you..Robyn Sydney Australia
Prayers have been answered! I am so very happy for you!
Many blessings....
Marly!!!! Ohmah-freakin-gosh! I am so damned tired of we ‘peons’ having to do the job of alleged medical ‘professionals’. Big air hugs!
Kathleen
Oh Marly, I read your last post last night before I went to bed and I didn't comment then as I wanted to think about how to respond and offer you my prayers in the right way. Think of my joy (which must be nothing to compared to yours and your family's) that your condition was misdiagnosed and that your ill-health is due to Covid! Who would have thought that Covid would be the lesser of two evils! This is such wonderful news, Marly, I am so happy for you and your family.
Well, I'll be damned!! I never thought I'd be happy to hear that someone was diagnosed with COVID, but in this case, Thank God!! I'm so happy that you persisted and got the proper diagnosis. Go get yourself a bag of Dove chocolate and eat them all!! And, sleep good tonight! Cherie in WI
Wonderful news. Thank God!
Marly, wow! The best news ever!!! So glad you demanded that CT scan. So very, very happy for you!
For this, I am truly happy....I knew not what to say, but held you in my heart.
Another note to remember that your own self Is your best advocate....thank God you persisted! I’m disgusted this was diagnosed on an X-ray...that is poor medicine right there and those professionals should be ashamed.
So happy for you, Marly! HOpe you can take complete advantage of your new lease on life....stitch!
You’re probably the only person who’s thankful they have COVID! So happy for you!
Go to the Cleveland Clinic. They saved my husband's life after months of being misdiagnosed locally. I cannot stress this enough. What a nightmare for you and your family. I'm so happy that you are finally getting some good news.
Whoooo hoooooo!!! Congratulations!
Welcome back bitch. And I mean that in the best possible way. How about we sue them for reckless disregard of your emotional and mental health??? Intentional infliction of emotional distress??? Nah, let's not be vindictive....let's just celebrate your good news. HUGS ~Robin~
Praises and thanksgiving to the Lord for the hoped-for miracle that returned your
snarkiness to our midst...go out and get all the charts and linen to show the world
you are back in form..plus, Doves to your heart's content (if possible) Virtual hugs
to you, dear friend, and may you keep livening things up for many years to come.
Now I can let the prayer team know theirs have been answered in spades. Bless you.
Holey Moley! Wow Marly! I am so VERY VERY HAPPY to read about this changed diagnosis. Not that Covid is great to have, but it’s hopefully not terminal. I can imagine your elation! Take care now— lots of resting! I look forward to hearing about your recovery... you WILL do it!! Biggest Hugs! πππ

Marly, I am so grateful to hear of this new diagnosis. All week long I have thought about you and your family and prayed for God’s hand to comfort and guide. Now I am so elated and join all the others in expressing my joy in this latest news. I pray for a full recovery and many more days of reading your interesting blogs. Blessings!
Good news! I hope you have a full recovery. My husband had a ground-glass pneumonia once while in treatment for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He was NOT comfortable - but did get better. Will be praying that you do as well.
Mary in MN
Praying for quick healing and a full recovery!
Marly, I read your blog this am before work, didn't have time to leave note but crossed my mind if you hadn't had Covid. It is wonderful news!!!! Won't hear too many people saying they are glad they had Covid, but considering the alternative, I think you can. If you look out your back door you will see all your furrballs doing a happy dance!!! Now you can get some rest. We are glad you're back with your crab-ass self!
Such wonderful news Marly! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Dear Marly,
I can't tell you how very happy I am that your previous post was not true!!!! What wonderful news for you, my friend!!! Though COVID is not something any of us would wish for you to have, I know you are SO GRATEFUL in this instance!!! God Bless you and Mark and may you continue to get the treatment you need in order to feel better!!! Sending LOTS of HUGS, THOUGHTS and PRAYERS!!!
Heart Hugs~

π₯² I could not even comment on your last post! Now I am crying with joy and gratitude π❤️π₯°. THANK YOU LORD, Darn it though. Guess I’m gonna have to take that post-it note with my name off of Mark ππ
I am so happy to hear your news. Glad you continued to investigate your health. What a great result.
The. Most. Wonderful. News!!! I cried last night reading your post and just could not leave a comment. But this one? You betcha. I just read last nights post to hubs and with joyful tears nearly didn't get through this one. Thank the Lord you were insistent. We all have to be our own advocates and DEMAND action sooner not later. Take good care, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your stitch projects and reading some "lighter blog posts."
OMG, our prayers were answered! I don`t know when I cried more, hearing of your devastating prognosis or now hearing that it was all a mistake! Wahoo!!!! Marly, I have been unable to sleep the last few nights thinking about you and thinking how cruel and unfair life can be, I now must thank the Lord that you are "OK." I am so happy for you and Mark and your family, so sorry you had to experience such a scare...but you`re OK!!!! My crabass friend is OK! Thank you Lord!
Yeah !!! I'm so happy for you !
What amazing news !!
Stay safe
Yippeee !
This is why you need to be your own Dr and

OMG I am soooo very happy for you! I prayed for you last night and I prayed for you again this morning. When I read your post I was screaming with joy for you. I bet you never thought you'd be so happy to receive a Covid diagnosis. God wants you to appreciate your life, Sjogren's and all. I've been reading your blog for years but only been commenting recently. I'm so glad you'll be around to continue to blog and be a crab ass when you're feeling like a crab ass. I told you in my last comment not to "give up and to fight like hell" and I'm so glad you fought for a CT scan. I'd tell you to have a shot of tequila in celebration but since you're on antibiotics probably not a wise thing to do. Rest up, take your antibiotic, get better then have a shot of tequila. Again, so happy for you and so happy for your husband. I'm sure he's relieved as well. Take care Marly!
Hurray, what good news! I am happy for you!
Stay safe.
Warm greetings from Germany!
Brilliant news Marly, I'm so relieved. Look after yourself dear lady.
I was late catching up and only minutes ago read your devastating previous post. From despair to joy in seconds. Fight on my friend, fight on!
Irene xxx
THANK GOD!
This is so wonderful......the best news!! I was so burdened when I read the first post....we all love you so much and now we rejoice with you!!!!
I have been praying over and over again for sthg. like this. I had wanted to ask if maybe there was a "false negative" for Covid which is surprisingly common. I shall alert my family to the impending Marly Celebration Weekend!! You really do have to be your own advocate as you have done brilliantly. Robyn in MA
That is the most wonderful news!!! I am beyond ecstatic for you and your hubby!!!! Enjoy this amazing day!!
I am so very thankful to hear this good news. Prayers have been working for you.
Now, please take care of yourself..........let the others pamper you for a while.
I was so down all day on the 12th.......You deserve to celebrate, celebrate, celebrate.
Hoping to see you out planting pink petunias in the not too distant future.
Prayers will continue.
Sending my love and hugs,
Charlotte in Va.
OMG & HOLY CRAP!!!! Our crabass is back!!! That is the most wonderful news ever, Marly! I am so very happy (and relieved) for you & Mark!! I'm hugging you right now!! Our prayers were answered & miracles really do happen. You didn't back down, you fought & that's the Marly we know and love!! Good for you, sweet lady. We're all proud of you & so very thankful that you will be OK.
Still sending lots of prayers your way to start feeling better real soon. Take care & God bless.
You gotta be kidding me. With covid rampant and causing all sorts of lung issues they only went by a single x-ray?! WTF! I suppose they only did one covid test also? If so, double WTF?!?!? and WTH?!?!?
WooHoo!!! - our Crabass ain't going any where any time soon! As happy as we all are, it's nothing compared to what you and Mark are going through. This is the top most bestest news I've heard this year! I'm so glad you kicked ass for further testing. You'll be in my thoughts frequently until we hear you're clear of the covid crud...
Oh Marly...yeeeeeeah :)))))))))))) I‘m so happy for you, your family and us, your readers for this great and relieving News.
I‘ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hoping that you will feel better soon.
Sending love and warm hugs from Germany
Amara
it isn't what it isn't ... YES!!!
I'm so glad to hear the news! I was in prayer for you and now I'll pray thankfully for you. Also, what a good example of how we should be assertive in our own health care!
Marly
So thankful to hear the good news...blessings to you! I had a similar experience many, many years ago...was told I had a malignant brain tumor following the birth of my son and, like you, was making plans for my husband and the children...even started marathon cooking and stocking the freezer...long story short, that was over 45 years ago...always thankful!
Patricia
ONG OMG OMG ... I am so very happy to read this!! I'm so glad you stood up for yourself and insisted onthe scan! These days you really need to be a STRONG advocate for your own (and loved ones) healthcare.
I will be walking around with a gigantic grin for the rest of the weekend!
Oh I know the relief you feel and the letting go of something so devastating! I was told I had ovarian cancer and they did surgery and found nothing! Like you my anxiety was so bad I went into therapy, went to church, and could barely function! Six years later I rarely have anxiety, continues therapy, got healthy, separated from an abusive husband, still living, and much happier than I have ever been! I feel your happiness all the way down here in NC! So happy for you! I’m a nurse calling patients that are positive with Covid and must say it is a sneaky bastard!
And you do not need to apologize for very real and very normal human emotions. One thing I learned in therapy is feelings are normal, they are stories we tell ourself from data we are given. Feelings are not data, just stories. If we can change our made up stories we get better control of emotions. You are Marly, a normal human when a great imagination having normal feelings!
This is wonderful news
I cannot even imagine what you've gone through. So glad for the great news. {{{{{{Hugs}}}}}}
I didn’t reply to your shocking news glad I didn’t this is great hopefully with your antibiotics you’ll be back good as new look forward to reading your blog everyday wonderful news
Well, that was a rollercoaster! So glad that you're going to be around for a while longer!
Holy Shit and Praise the Lord! I have been following you for a loonnggg time and was so worried about you. I even went as far as to look up IPF. I've often wondered what you look like - since we've all be so worried about you, maybe you could show us what you look like. I am so thankful you're back!!!
Oh Marly, what a rough couple of weeks! I have been away from the computer due to some stuff going on here and I read your previous post with heavy heart and tears. Then I read this post and more tears...tears of joy for you! I am so happy you insisted on the CT scan. I'm sure you and Mark are exhaling now. Continued prayers for you, my friend!
Marley, I found your blog only recently but already I like you so much. I am so happy for this latest news, and I know everything's going to be fine. I, too, want to encourage you to get the best medical care you can find, and I can't encourage you enough to eat the right foods. I have a friend who had long suffered with lupus but who reversed many of her symptoms and gained real quality of life with a change in her diet. Nothing extreme, either... just quality foods, organic if possible, and the elimination of gluten and dairy. You and your family and your animal friends will be in my thoughts an prayers.❤
I had missed the previous post and am overjoyed to read that the initial diagnosis was wrong. Never thought I would be happy to hear someone has Covid, but in this case it is wonderful news. Cannot even imagine what you have been through.
Take care, sending love & hugs
Absolutely grand news!! Medicine is a practice and range of human conditions innumerable! Very sorry COVID has affected you this way, but glad another diagnosis figured out.
The best news!!! I have been worried about you for days! That's what I get for not looking at blogs everyday! However, covid is no walk in the park. You will remain in my prayers!
OMG Marly! As my husband likes to say "That's why Dr's say they practice medicine because none of them are ever sure of diagnosis" Drs and the weatherpeople are the only professionals that can be wrong 90% of the time but continue to hold a job. Anyway, so happy to hear they were so wrong in your case dear friend! We are in AR caring for my 80yr old MIL who had hiatal hernia surgery last week. She's been experiencing horrible chest pains, shortness of breath, ect and the drs just kept passing her complaints off as age related....they did surgery Friday and discovered her hernia had collapsed the left top lobe of her lung and was restricting blood flow to her heart. WTH they need to listen to patients because even if we don't have a medical degree, we do know how our bodies feel. Sending lots of love to ya!
