Pictures worth a thousand words....how precious. Sometimes pets put us to shame in their sensitivity and "knowing"... Mark's cross is lovely. Continued prayers for all in your Family.
Is it odd that a stranger on the internet is grieving along with you? Well, I am. Cats have been my loving companions for all my adult life, so I offer my deepest condolences to you and your husband.
I know, I understand. My beloved Black Lab, Lucy, is still with me as we speak, in a beautiful Rosewood carved box, and when I go, she will come with me. The property behind my barn is the final resting place for 5 beloved pets. They are such a big part of our lives. Hugs to you and hoping for some peace.
Such a precious remembrance and resting place for Bud. So very sorry.....animals take up so much of our hearts and our hearts break when they leave us. Sending thoughts, hugs, love and prayers. XXOO Charlotte in Va.
So sad yet so beautiful. May God comfort you. I created a memorial garden several years ago because I don't like going to the cemetery much. There's a cross but not as beautiful as Buds and there's no name because the garden is in memory of many family, friends and pets. I laid down steeping stones that say "cat crossing" and "dog crossing" on them. Memorial stones with pet sentiments I bought from Amazon. I have a fishing boy in honor of my Dad. I planted cone flowers, Stella Doro's, hardy geraniums, mini yellow roses. They're all perennials so I don't have to plant so much every year. The only annual is poppies and they self sow. I went to the garden center and they had memorial wind chimes. The tubes that make the sound are inscribed with scripture. This is my special place to talk to God and remember all my loved ones that have left this earth. I enjoy it immensely compared to the cemetery. Take care
