We were at an Amish stand when a sobbing woman was overheard talking on her phone. I was stunned. We went to the car and turned on the radio. A CBS station reported that people had the opportunity to leave Afghanistan if they had wanted. Nothing more, nothing about a young father killed on vacation, but there was a story about a tortoise that ate a bird. That woman obviously heard incorrectly. No, she did not. The real news stations confirmed why she was so upset.
I do not like the Hogbristle in 36, love it in 40, do not like the cream color of Eureka. Will either exchange or sell.
And I realized under artificial light that the green is prominent throughout the Cappuccino. My drinks are never green. I may try to cancel the week old order that has not shipped yet if all in this color have green disbursed throughout. Do they? Red blends green to brown but since the background has a pinkish tone I cannot dip to correct without the entire piece becoming quite pink.
The peacock is on his way to Canada, please let me know if you do not receive it.

I'm not even going to ask you why she was upset.... lockdown must have rendered me dense and I missed something.
Heaven help us all... What a horrible tragedy. And, yup, your summary of the news coverage is spot on. 😭
The deaths of our finest young military in Afghanistan today and the other innocents also lost to terror.
Heartbreaking what has happened to our military in Afghanistan. How can our leadership sit and continue to do NOTHING? I just don't comprehend how anyone can think this is ok. Sadly our great nation is becoming the laughing stock of the world.
I have to agree with Rugs and Pugs, don`t see how anyone can be OK or make excuses for the tragic events unfolding in the Middle East (and in our own country for that matter.) Please forgive me for asking but I`m not sure which linen is which color...which Hogbristle is 36 count, the smaller rectangle piece or the bigger background piece? I`m amazed at the sheer number of samplers you have stitched in the last year or two considering your eye issues and all the unfortunate happenings you`ve endured recently. I really admire your stitched beauties and I admire you Marly, for all you do for Carole and still maintain some sanity and humor. Mark gets a shout out too.
Prayers for the 13 service members and their families as well as the 60 Afghans and their families.
It's terrible what is happening in the Middle East....
Didn't stitch much this last year and I think it's great how much you are stitching with the bad sight you have for so long and all the problems you have to solve with yourself and Carole!!!
Take care both of you and a big hug,Truus from Holland
