Strange strange strange. Rachel Hyde is from 1995 and although my memory function is far from good, I thought there was a reprint offered by the designer. It was at one time, in the folder with the original, and then disappeared over the years like my hair and tight jawline. Did I imagine it? Was it for a different design? For two days I tore apart everything related to samplers leaving no folder, pouch, box, envelope unexamined. So it must not have been Rachel or I certainly would have it. This morning, I picked up the stack of chart papers to continue coloring, and it felt thick. OMG. Loose pages at the back of the stack were the reprint. How? I have been flipping those pages, coloring, reading, bitching, THEY WERE NOT THERE. And especially being loose, not even stapled, they would have been seen. Stunned me like the yellow jacket that sent husband to hospital years ago, as I mistakenly told the nurse he was in prophylactic shock. She fell off her chair. No dipstick. Prophylactic is a condom. The allergic reaction is called anaphylaxis. Anyway .... this reprint is much much easier to see and I will continue on 36 count. Why cause myself more aggravation dealing with wonky stitches on 28? I ordered Seraphim Antique Lace and Fabric by Stephanie's Toasted Almond. I was going to add Old Stationary but found one site comparing it to 840/842 which are too pink for me. Fingers crossed.
And in another unexpected turn in the Saga of Carole, we were notified her pacemaker model (100% dependent because of an unnecessary AV node ablation) can quickly deplete battery even with up to three years remaining. She has less than two. So she needs to have the entire pacemaker replaced ASAP and we were told it would be a month before an appt in office and then they will schedule. Hey. Dickweed. Listen up. That fricking device is the only thing causing her heart to beat. It doesn't matter what the hell you see in office after another stretcher transport in an ambulance, it MUST be changed according to the manufacturer. Now. No need to see her, schedule it, admit to hospital, do it.
Have a good weekend.

Hi Marly: So happy you found the design.
I am looking forward to seeing it stitched.
As for Carole, I would take her to the ER and insist they do something, maybe the Cath lab with get off their butts and do something, I would hate to live in your area and have such horrible health care, they need to pay attention to Carole's needs now not later, are they trying to kill her? just asking.
I hope all turns out well for her and you.
Catherine
So glad you found that reprint....
Enclosing Carole in prayer (you too) that
she receive the skillful and immediate care
she requires... pronto!
Thanks for the laugh!!! I didn't even catch what you said until you clarified.
Happy you found the chart, but strange how you found it. I, too, have looked for things to no avail and then they just show up. Are the gods messing with us.
Hoping you can get Carole taken care of. Never a dull moment in your life!
In my opinion, there shouldn't be words so deceptively "close" in sound....I have interchanged those two myself. Yay you found the chart reprints....perhaps Rachel was just having a bit of fun with you "from beyond" and wanted to play a game of "Hyde" and seek. 🤣
So glad you continue to have a sense of humor with all that's going on in your life (your own health, Carole, water/plumbing lines, missing charts, etc!). I laughed out loud with your story about your husband at the hospital with you.
I wish for some actual good news for Carole ---- and you too!
Hope you find time to stitch on Rachel now that you finally found the chart.
Man you just can't catch a break lately. Now her pacemaker needs replacing? Hope it's done fast, efficiently and all goes well with that. Glad you found your missing chart after tearing everything apart. How many times has that happened to someone, where they tear a room apart looking for something and know it's not there, only to have it appear exactly where they've looked a hundred times before. Suddenly it's there. Magically. When you looked there a hundred times before and it wasn't there. I know it's happened to me. So very strange things are sometimes. Glad you're still hanging in there. Prayers still.
Don't know what kind of people are working in the hospital where Carole is, but I think they are without brains....
Glad you found your chart again and yes strange things can happen with the stuff we have.
Take care and a big hug, Truus from Holland
Bless you Marly! With all that you have going on you still have a great sense of humor. Karen
Oh man, so glad you found your chart, but I just don't understand the laissez-faire attitude toward the need of that pacemaker. Keeping you in my thoughts Marly.
