Losing the warmth and sounds of summer days is hard enough, but losing light is even harder to accept.

In the blink of an eye and a few sips of iced coffee, 7:21.
It happens so quickly.
Today was warm and after a full day of errands and tasks, I enjoyed my swing for almost an hour until the darkness and chill appeared and I went inside.
Once inside, made hotel reservations for her surgery and after seeing another price increase from 2 weeks ago, I got ticked and bought more stitching items.

Marly: Ahhh yes the best way to relieve stress is stash lots of new stash, I feel more relaxed after buying more stash.
Prices are increasing every where, now they feel in the news that there will be another toilet paper shortages due to the flu season, well crap.
Its amazing how the sun fades so fats this time of year, I am not a fan of cold or winter, I shudder at the though of snow on the ground.

I like when it gets dark early. Pretty soon I can put my jammies on at 5 instead of 7. Keep pulling that needle, it will keep you sane...buying stuff helps, too.

I'm not a fan of the shorter days either. The only good thing is that my thoughts of "I should be doing..." are greatly reduced when it gets dark. It's not bad until it starts getting dark at 6pm, but then throw in a time change and December - getting dark at 4:30pm is foul. At least now that I'm retired, I do get to see daylight more than the very short walk from parking lot into work. Bummer on the cost increase for the hotel, I hope there's not another before the surgery.
Well, of course....makes perfect sense to me LOL. Fading fast, yes...and equally troubling is how quickly the chill sets in once the sun starts setting. :-(
What is with the hotel prices? A cousin left Savannah yesterday to come to Pittsburgh. The only hotel he could book for 4 days is a local roadside "iffy" place that caters to undesirables. Of course, baseball finishing up, football in full swing, hockey in the wings, and Mick Jagger and the Stones are in town. Ran into Mick at Phipps
Conservatory. The price for this palace of a room, higher than the other hotels with much better conditions. Why?
Of course, near a hospital rates are always high, now they know they can gouge the public, and that's the news.
