from what? Contradiction, misinformation, disagreement, conflicting data, lack of data, theories, conjecture, hypothesis, assumption, speculation. I just spent the afternoon in the ER recommended by Mark's doctor, did not want to go knowing it would be another afternoon of wasted hours. Four of them. For nothing. I just started coughing yesterday, what did they expect to see on an x-ray? My vaxed cousin got vitamin D, vitamin A, antibiotic, prescription cough medicine, I got nothing. Was told SO many contradictory and confusing facts that I came to the conclusion there are no facts regarding covid. After the x-ray I told the doctor that I have GGOs in one lung and he said "well then you've had covid". Pulmonologist said not definitive. I informed him that my blood test for antibodies was negative so I could not have had it, he said that test is useless. WHY GIVE IT???? The nurse told me that the in-car tests are not accurate and inserted the swab much deeper, said you must have symptoms in order to test. Mark had no symptoms at the time and did the in-car swab, positive. According to her, impossible. They even differ between doctors and hospitals as to monoclonal treatments, testing, quarantine length, everything. This nurse has been treating covid patients since the beginning, claims that day 15 - 18 are the absolute worse, she knows what I have is covid regardless of the test because of exposure, has a different time frame on monoclonals. told me to be very careful. With what???? Stay home until you can't breathe and then it's OK to come in and we'll reserve a ventilator for you. I understand that no one really knows the facts, Fauci who once was a wealth of information seems more concerned in how he looks on TV, and changes his mind daily, many times opposite of the CDC. No one is to blame for this, but stop giving random guidelines or opinions between hospitals. I'm done. Not mentioning it again, nor the mess in the photo below. I said I wouldn't again, but this one is just so insane. What the hell is with all the green in almost all my choices?

Isolate
So ticked off. I have pieces from all the dyers and PTP and Seraphim seem to be fairly consistent. But I will never order Fiber on a Whim again. Same count, same fabric, they seem to the most disappointing. I'm sorry. If your supplier is different, test it! Adjust it. Red tones green to brown, green tones pink to brown, violet tones yellow to tan, it's not rocket science. And it's cost me quite a bit. I am so grateful for Hobby House not only for service, but their policies. They are dying their own now and that may be the last I try. You know I am going to ruin these non-colorfast linens trying to get rid of the green don't you? Especially the buttermilk and this one. I will cut a small piece and see what the result is, probably as disastrous as before. What the hell. When I get this disgusted with everything, caution and reason are out the window. Laptop to soon follow,
Last warm day here. Enjoy yours. Taking a few days off.

I am so sorry for what you are going through. I am fortunate to have an excellent hospital here in West Chester PA. In Feb the doctor thought I had covid but 2 tests came back negative. Went to the ER and turned out I had sepsis which could have been fatal. My liver had abscesses and had to have a drain for close to a month. Migraine for 4 weeks straight and unbelievable chills. Stayed in the hospital for 9 days. Please take care of yourself and go to the ER again if you feel awful. Just because it sounds like covid that doesn't mean it is!!!
Sorry for all your confusion. It would seem to me an easy diagnosis, but I guess not. I am reminder of going to ER a few years ago ( thought I might have had a small stroke). CAT scan said no stroke…. phew. Admitted overnight ‘cause BP was high. Next morning neurologist came in to talk about my stroke!!!!!!! Come on people talk to each other…. Just keep trucking along I guess. Hope you feel better soon.
Oh...but you are so very mistaken Miss Marly...there is one fact about COVID: No one knows JACK SHIT...and if they do, they aren't telling it and/or being heard/believed. 🤬 I am going to leave it there otherwise I may lose all my followers who might read this comment and offend your (non-mutual) followers to boot. And the linen...not going there either. (Guess it's that kind of day) - but have to say that the piece on the left looks like the Seraphim "Antique Lace" I "thought" I was supposed to get...but didn't. Feel better...and, yes, take some time to rest, heal, stew. But don't keep us waiting too long. We'll miss ya, ya know? ~Robin~
Hi Marly: I have to agree with The Cranky Crow, no one knows jack shit, one day its a pandemic the next its on a downturn slide, one day we need to wear masks the next not the masks are not needed, I have a friend who's husband had the covid shots then last week the booster, on my now he has covid not the delta version the regular old covid.
Last year they said children and young people could not get it, now its a rising problem with the young.
What the hell, I think politics need to stay out of this covid thing.
I am not nor will I ever get the vaccine, my uncle had the covid shot with-in 15 minutes he was in the hospital, never had heart problems, now nothing but blood clots and not only were they in his heart but also his lungs.
I hope you are feeling better soon my dear friend.
I have bought fabric over the net I have been burnt because its not the color I thought I bought, I hope you can solve the fabric situation soon.
Hugs
Catherine
Perhaps I have lost track, but what happened to your satisfaction with the gorgeous
oatmeal? It looked so lovely on the screen. If it were not so dear in cost, experimentation wouldn't be so expensive. The run-around you are getting regarding
COVID is heartbreaking and should not be tolerated. We really don't have a real handle
on it, thank you China, and it will take much research and patience to truly and definitively overcome it. I am praying you get some relief and answers so that you find assurance and peace. For years I have taken Sambucus elderberry syrup daily and never caught colds and avoided annual flu.... COVID raised its ugly head and I was convinced to get vaxzed...I am second thinking the booster. Our Cranky Crow is right about there being no certain answer from anyone... garner the best information you can and be as discerning as possible in guarding yourself and getting treated...Candle lit and fingers crossed. Hope your days off brings you some relaxation and rest, dear one.
Insanity, sheer insanity, all I can say is that I hope you and Mark weather the storm and you feel better soon!
This covid virus has been a pisser from the start. Such wide variance in symptoms, outcomes and recovery that have changed over the last 2 years. People have absolutely no symptoms to needing a ventilator, not ill at all to dying, over it in a few days to becoming a long hauler. One person sheds little virus, another sheds lots, making testing a crap shoot. Add in mutating over time, throw politics and social media into the whole thing, stir, and no wonder it's such a mess of varying (and often outdated or wrong) information, rumors, and conspiracy theories.
I'd be peeved if I got that linen too. It's almost enough to make one start dying their own linens. I mean if the professionals can't get their work any closer between batches... Do they NOT keep a sample of what they are aiming for? And if it's not close, at why not at least have the courtesy to give it a different name?!
Please don't toss the laptop out of the window - how will we get the news that you and Mark have recovered, Carole is recovering from surgery, not to mention updates on your stitching, the brats and Petey, and photos of your gorgeous flowers?
I hope you feel better soon ((( hugs )))
Prayers that you and Mark feel better soon.
{{hugs}}
I agree with our Cranky Crow that it’s all bullshit. No one scenario seems to address the many variations of this virus and certainly the dr’s are as lost and confused as we are in the public sector. Hubby’s company continues to be in lockdown and these people work in “clean rooms” in complete protective wear as they deal with microchips but they are still getting sick due to exposure from outside work then it spreads to everyone in that team. The filters turn the air 48 times per hour and yet they still are have issues. Today, we’re in NC and were told NC was back to mandatory masking when in public but we went like Home Depot, grocery store, department store, lunch and Verizon only to see maybe 20% people wearing masks including employees. I just continue to mask as required, wash my hands constantly and avoid crowds which I’ve been doing since it began. I’m so tired of it all!
