Hiya. How's everyone? I'm sure all of you realize it's November, but that fact came as a real shock to me this afternoon. When did it happen? The last I remember it was the teens of October. But there is a block of time that has escaped me I guess.
Mark went for groceries, the bank, drove to see Carole, and I stayed on the sofa all afternoon and browsed a little online. I found a note about searching for an old Bonanomi book (Book of Days). Available from an online quilt shop, but $14.50 shipping on a $14.95 book turned me away so I am glad I found it elsewhere. I will have it to read soon along with her other that I received before covid, the firsts for me from this talented artist.
I've wanted a stitching journal from Primitive Stitcher for a long time, but will never nab one. I'm hoping this booklet may help me create my own. And with Hobby Lobby moving into the old Pat Catan store where Michael's failed, it will be nice to actually see and feel products. Catan's was so highly rated, great prices and outstanding supplies, greatly missed.
I also ordered more linen colors from Hobby House hoping I like them, but if not, that's OK too. I don't remember much about Rachel (is that the chart?) and where I am on her progress, really strange. Tomorrow I hope to look through the stitching drawer and see what's there. I know I received several new charts (and they are ....?), but I really feel as if I just landed and haven't been here for weeks!
I hope you have a great day.
Stay safe, be well, treat yourself.

I would say it sounds as if you have turned a corner! So happy to hear that are improving!
Marly, you sound so much better even in print. Yay!!
Don't feel bad about November sneaking up on you. It did me too and I don't even have the excuse of being sick. Yay for you being on the sofa and doing on-line shopping a bit! Like anonymous said - even your writing is sounding like you feel better. Don't overdo things - it's so easy to overestimate what you can do and then get overtired and backslide. Take care...
So wonderful to hear you are getting stronger and able to do small things again, Marly! I'm sure Mark is very relieved... A few online purchases can go a long way in giving an instant boost, for sure! I so miss Pat Catan's, too. Sadly, we don't seem to have anything good moving into their old store. An Anthropologie Home Outlet has moved in there. Um... no thank you. Take care now and take it easy. ♥
I, too, Miss Pat Catan's. I was so excited when a Hobby Lobby opened about 25 minutes away. The excitement didn't last long. They had already done away with their 40% coupon and I find the prices absolutely ridiculous unless they are 50% off.
People/businesses gouging on shipping is a pet peeve of mine and like you refuse to pay it. Happy you found the book with more reasonable shipping. Maggie has so many great books.
Nice to hear you sounding human again. May each day be better ;-0
so wonderful to hear you are up and about again, and in good spirits. Online shopping can be a great medicine, indulge yourself
Welcome back to the Land of the Living! So GOOD!! to hear you are well enough for Mark to leave for extended errand trip - and for you to be browsing and looking at projects.
I will continue to pray that you heal and are restored to good health. Again, SO GLAD you are feeling better.
How encouraging to hear you talk about stitching! I'm so glad you feel like doing that. Steps in the right direction. Prayers continuing!
You and your sister are two tough cookies!!!
And Mr Mark is an angel. You all inspire me, truly you do.
Hi Marly: I hope you are feeling better, its so sad you have been ill, you always make me smile, you always make me giggle.
I hope Carole is recovering and feeling better.
Your husband is a gem to help you and Carole so much.
Your book is lovely, postage on some books is horrible.
Have a beautiful day I look forward to seeing what you are working on.
Catherine
I am so glad you are feeling better. When one day runs into the other and you realize time has obviously escaped, well, that can be unsettlig. Knowing that you are ordering linen again is a good sign, welcome back!
Welcome Back Snarky!!! You've been sorely and dearly missed! ~Robin~
Marly, you sound better and brighter! So happy to read your post and enjoy your chit chat! Hugs ;)
I'm so glad to read your post today and happy that you sound better. Praying for your continued improvement and recovery.
Hi Marly,
You sound SO much better & more like yourself! What great news! I want to buy that wonderful Primitive Book of Days by Maggie Bonanomi, but when I searched for it, I could only find it in Amazon for (!!!) over $300! Could you please tell me the name of the online quilt shop where you found it? That $14.50 shipping cost, plus $14.99 book cost, seems entirely reasonable after Amazon's price nearly made me pass out from shock! Please continue to rest up & heal!
Thanks very much.
Teresa L.
So happy to read a new post from you!
And you did already some orders online, well that makes me happy!
Please take care of yourself and wishing you all the best.
Still sending prayers for you,Mark and Carole, Truus from Holland
