Hi everyone. First, the wool balls I was referring to are not the dryer balls. Online sales for decorative snowballs of various size (some quite small) made from wool, are used in bowls and Christmas decor. Personally, I hate the white crap regardless of the size of your balls.
I wanted to mention a problem with Rachel that I forgot needed adjusting. I did not like the right side being two additional stitches from the outline than the left, so I reversed the left side chart and followed it on the right. But once that page was over, I continued using the right side page, not the reversed left. Uh-oh. That threw vinegar in my oil. The repeated main vine was moved which would of course throw off all other elements by two on successive pages. So I removed the offenders and counted in from the outline to position the motifs the same as the other side, and all is well in my bitchdom.
We had rain over the weekend and my Amazon order was handed to a neighbor by mistake, but I had no idea which. Two days later, Chris came over and said there is a package on our grass alongside the road. Yep. It was too much trouble to pull in the drive and throw it on the porch, they threw it out the window. No mail to retrieve, no newspaper delivery in the box, and no view from the house, so how could we see it? Soaked.
No good news from Pittsburgh today except for a few celebrating the loss of my voice. She was in tears at the news that the pain and destruction will continue, requiring more trips to the hospital, and eventually another amputation. Even if your remaining leg is tremendously painful, you are unable to hang it down to sit, can't use a wheelchair, will remain bedfast, it's hard to agree to the loss of both legs. A prosthetic on one leg used to support/stabilize would assist transfer to wheelchair. Her age and fact that she hasn't walked in eight months prohibits being fitted for two. Extremely upsetting to her, I can't imagine. I don't know when, that is her decision, but we need to make reservations again.

Wow...just speechless (and not because I've lost my voice) over the continuing agony Carole is going through...and you along with her. I just can't imagine...nor do I want to...what that would be like....ANY of it. Rachel is looking tres good...but not as good as that fried salami. Gah! I'm dying here!! ~Robin~
Marly: I am so sorry I thought you were talking about dryer balls, so sorry.
I am sad that Carole may lose her other leg this breaks my heart.
I am sorry uyou have to have a little vinegar thrown in on your stitching, I had a bunch thrown in last week, ouch is all I can say.
I hope you have a beautiful Thanksgiving
Catherine
Can not imagine what is going through Carole's mind. God bless her. WHY do people have to suffer so much before they leave this earth.
Continued prayers for her and you and family.
Cross stitching should not cause such problems for one who enjoys doing it. What you have done and undone is beautiful !
Thinking of you and wishing you and your family a blessed, enjoyable Thanksgiving.
We're doing Cracker Barrel, thanks to my daughter.
Sending love, hugs, compassion and prayers.

Fake decorative wool snow balls? I apparently don't look at the right things on the internet. I knew nothing of them. Then again, with no accounts on FB, IG, pinterest, or whatever else there is now, I don't see much other than blogs. NOT complaining, keep posting! We've lost too many bloggers to those other platforms.
IIRC, you said months ago that it was possible that Carole would lose the other leg? Now they've taken that tiny hope it wouldn't happen away? I'm so sorry that Carole has to deal with it. And you. At least Rachel is looking better and better.
Oh my goodness, you did unpick the border and stitched it again!
And so quick-- it's looking beautiful.
So sorry for Carole to hear she will possible loose her second leg.
Sending lots of love, prayers and a big hug to you all.
Take care, Truus from Holland
I’m so sorry Marly about Carole. I can’t even begin to imagine what she is going through. My name is Sarah Beth and I used to have a cross stitch blog called Sarah Beth’s Cross Stitch Blog. I now have a Flosstube. Do you have one. I don’t know if you like Rosewood Manor but I got an awesome opportunity to interview Karen Kluba on my latest Flosstube. It is called Sarah Beth’s Stitchingit has been a while since I have been I. The blogging world but I’m going to start up again under the same name as the Flosstube. Your blog is one of my favorites.
What a heartbreak for Carole to receive that news and have to adjust to it... This is
not the time of year to have to deal with it.... I am so sorry, Marly. Will continue in
prayer for the best outcome for all of you. In the meantime, wishing you and yours a
most blessed Thanksgiving holiday and hope you will be feeling much better with some
rest and relaxation.
I grew up on fired bologna, but never heard of fried salami.
Carole just can't catch a break. Prayers that the pain eases soon.
Oh Marly, I’m so very sorry to learn this news about Carole. I cannot imagine what you all are going through, especially her knowing that she’ll be losing her other leg. My sincerest prayers.
You always know what to do to make your stitching look wonderfully perfect!
Must try fried salami! As Lauren from Rugs and Pugs mentioned…. Fried bologna was common in our house when I was a kid, but never had fried salami!
Wishing you and yours a blessed Thanksgiving, and many prayers for comfort and pain relief.
Oh, dear, not the news I was hoping for for your dear sister, Marly. Can't imgagine all the thoughts that must be running through both of your heads. It does seem like the hits just keep on coming, sadly. I hope you can find some way to celebrate the good things like your recovery from Covid and your family and friends who care so much about you. Do take care now ♥
