This year's gift is a chart from 1988 that has several samplers of various sizes.
"The Sister Samplers - 1839 booklet features antique sampler designs that were completed in 1839 by Sarah and Melvina Holland and have been adapted by Margaret Jeffries McKee. The booklet has 16 models which have been inspired by the two original samplers."
Photos from the chart are not very clear.
As for my sister, I have spent the afternoon leaving messages and waiting for return calls, she is crying all day from what seems to be nerve pain at the amputation site of five weeks ago. Started after last weeks suture removal and trimming. Nothing is helping. Nine months of this and other causes of excruciating pain, should not be.
I'm not drawing a name until later in the week, too many things going on, so let's say Thursday at 8 pm. Please make sure to include your initials or email address so I can contact the winner. If you can't leave a comment, email your entry.

I am just starting to love samplers. This is a great book with a nice variety. Prayers for your family.
I hope they find something that gives Carole some relief, or her nerves accept their new situation and settle down.
Those are some sweet samplers, I might even get one finished!
It must be so distressing for you to deal with Carole's even more distressing condition.
Hopefully they can find a remedy to calm the nerve pain. She has been through such an
ordeal and needs a glimmer of light and rest. Continued prayers for you all, dear one.
Just getting back into cross stitch, love the patterns
I love these old samplers. Hang in there, prayers for you and Carole.
What a lovely collection of sampler charts. These would be good for a start to 2022.
Thanks, Helen from MI
Cute samplers
My heart ached when I read that about your sister. No it should NOT be
I am praying for dear Carole. I am so very sorry she is suffering in this way.
I would like to participate in your Christmas Giveaway.
I hope and wish her sister's health improvement.
Kisses from Spain,
Pilarín
You are more than right: It should not be. I keep praying. ~Robin~ (Very generous and thoughtful of you to have this giveaway, but please don't count me in on this one. I have several sampler charts "in que" so would not get to any of these any time soon (we know how many samplers I manage). I'd rather see it go to someone who will enjoy it more "promptly" than I. But thank you.)
Praying for Carole, you, & your hubby! I hope her pain can be resolved, & SOON!
I'd love to be entered in your Christmas sampler giveaway.

What a sweet booklet. It looks like a good first sampler to begin with. I've only made small ones and have been looking for one that is a little bigger to start mt sampler journey! I love the small sister piece. I hope your sister is able to get some relief from her pain. Have a very Merry Christmas.
So many sweet samplers...but count me out. I would probably never stitch one of them.
Poor Carole. Hopefully she can get relief soon.
So sorry to hear Carole is in such pain-- hope they can give her very soon something to releave the pain.
Marly hope the reason why you are so busy will be solved soon and you get back your relaxing time.
You have made this sampler from your give away a while ago I think???

Marly: Nice giveaway booklet, please do not include me, I have a ton of patterns to work.
I am so sad about Carole.
My heart goes out to her and you also, you are a hard working woman with all you do for her.
Still in our daily Prayers.
Merry Christmas
Catherine
I wanted to say Thank You for this years gift! Good luck to all participants! Please do not include me; as I just like to watch read and learn about samplers!! Prayers to Carole and you and your family! I admire you so much and read your blog almost daily for the last several years! God Bless! hugs, queeny
Oh, Marly... I hope and pray something can be done to alleviate Carole's pain. It seems almost unbearable--for both of you. Not entering your giveaway as I have more than enough to keep me busy until I'm 150. Take care now and know I'm thinking of you ♥
