Sorry. The drawing for the berries chart will be Tuesday 12/21 at 8 pm.
Sherry that passed away was a blogger (http://bloginsherry.blogspot.com/) titled Inhale Life. I have not been on Fakebook much in the last months but recently checked stitching posts and saw that she had heart surgery early summer and had passed away a few months after.
Kim showed the wonderful glass strawberry ornaments her husband gifted her, and I wanted to pass on a tip. My arthritis is so bad in my right hand that I am dropping items often. The last was a new large jar of mayo that broke when it hit the floor. Not an easy clean up. I've mentioned that Playtex Living gloves (I hoarded them years ago) swiped across any fabric/upholstery removes pet hair that you can't even see. I still had it on and picked up the glass ornament I found on the only shop visit in over a year. I am leery of holding delicate or slippery items and the gloves offered a tacky hold that helped. I may look odd (nothing new here) trimming a tree with yellow latex gloves but I won't be as afraid. Hmmmm... wait ....
I just put a latex glove on, the boxed ones used in medical offices, worked like a charm! Even better because of the tight fit. Of course it doesn't improve my grip, but it does help the hold.

So very sad to learn of yet another stitcher's passing, Marly. She was just my age... It certainly makes you pause and reevaluate your own life. Thank you for letting us know. Enjoy your afternoon at home alone. My husband has been pretty sick with a heck of a cold all week and hasn't left the house. Amazingly, I seemed to avoid it! Take care now and enjoy those pretty new-to-you vintage ornaments. ♥
Marly: I am so sorry your friend passed away, it seems that so many Bloggers are passing this year.
I like when Mike has a few hours away with the guys, I get more done that way.
I am so loving your vintage bulbs, they are lovely, I think the older ornaments are so much prettier on a tree and the handmade ones also, I am not a fan of plastic ornaments.
The rubber gloves is a grand idea for a little grip, you are a very smart lady to comer up with that solution, me I would have never thought of the gloves.
I hope you can find the perfect shorts for Carole to wear, its that time of year when there are a load of summer clothing sales.
Merry Christmas
Catherine
Please don't make us wait 10 months to draw a name!! My mind will never store info that long LOL. Yes...I know you meant 12/21...but I couldn't resist. Golfing??? Really?? Wow...you are much more temperate than we are. That sport winds up here in September or October at the latest. We are expecting a nippy 3º tonight. I already have the fire going. I didn't even get my little collection of vintage bulbs out this year. I have two glass apothecary type jars on my mantel that I put them in. Can't really remember when I was last in a store/shop other than a grocery store or the farm store. And that statement really isn't a commentary on my failing memore in case you were wondering. ~Robin~
Love your vintage baubles that you have found in a shop.
The strawberries are lovely and are on my long list of wish-to-make-these...lol.
But just sold our house with lot of problems and now can start with unpacking the boxes to fill the new house. So no time for stitching anything but would love to sit and do some stitching.
Take care with prayers and a lot of love to you and yours,Truus from Holland
My mother still has the bottom right ornament in her ornament box. I didn't put up her tree this year as it won't fit in her room and she is bedridden now, but I will be saving all of those old ornaments. I like the glove idea.
Take care, Cathie
