Boom.

The black stitches are such a mess compared to the 610, will need a few tweaks.  This area took SO long that I'm contemplating changes to the other lettered areas.  I haven't yet found a bovine to fit, wondering if I attempt the tent stitch beast a third time and need to remove, if the linen will suffer irreparably.  But I must say, viewing the entire piece, those corners of tiny stitching are very attractive.

Looking at the border outline, 36 doesn't offer as much coverage as I expected.  Can I handle 40?  With the Dazor, yes, but my new linen is mostly 36.  Good enough.

Snow isn't here yet, but it will be shortly.  Crap.

The snow is here, Marly. Snowing like it's never snowed before.
I do not like this weather.
Take care, be safe, warm and cozy.

I think your 1 over 1 looks great! Sometimes it's difficult to accurately compare when you are comparing 2 different colors. Well, at least that's my story. I woke to unexpected snow...it was fine and fairly light - think we only got an inch or so - but just not fair when you check the weather before you go to bed and no snow is predicted anywhere in sight then wake up to stuff falling from the sky. But who am I to complain ... for once, you folks out east are getting the brunt of things. Stay warm and safe...and make soup. ~Robin~

I think it looks pretty. I dislike stitching over 1 on anything so to do 1x1 on 36ct is amazing.

I think I like the new color for the 1 over 1 better. It's not as harsh as the black, since there's no black elsewhere. OTOH, too much "goes with" can end up with a flat, boring sampler? Not in this case though.

And thank you to the reader that sent you your over-one stitching diagram. I've saved it off (again?) for future reference.
