Hi everyone. Sun is out, wind is blowing, my a** is freezing. And look what I received this weekend from my recent chart winner, Jan. Holy bluebird. Gorgeous fabric, the green of which will be the backing and ruffle, threads, and a thread puller which I need. I certainly never expect a reciprocal gift after a giveaway and yet this is so appropriate. My sister mentioned as we spoke of winter that she hopes she is home by spring to watch the bluebirds out her window. She has several houses, they nest yearly, and those beauties are her favorite. Arriving shortly after that comment was this WTNT chart titled with her hope! And at the bottom, the word home, which is her other hope. Do you have goosebumps?
I don't plan to mention this to her, you never know what her situation will be in a few months, but it will be ready for her. Thank you so much Jan, you had no idea when you chose this chart how appropriate it would be. Again, thank you.

That is phenomenal! And what a nice friend Jan is!
How thoughtful! You deserve a serendipitous surprise! Isn`t it amazing how a thoughtful gesture can be so uplifting? A great start to the week for sure, hope you and Jan have a good one.
What a lovely thing to do!
This gives me goosebumps!
How wonderful!! Such amazing people out there in this big crazy world!
Oh how I hope and pray that Carol will be home by spring…..not only to see the real bluebirds in her yard, but to see your finished stitching, gifted from the kindness of others. AWESOME!
Now try to keep your ass warm…gonna be a cold few months!
What a touching gift from Jan. Kudos to you for sending a goodie that has such a heartfelt sentiment and incredibly poignant. Marly you will do the stitching and finishing so beautiful. Stay warm!
What a thoughtful surprise! The key this represents to me is Hope. Without hope, we are lost. She has been through so much, many would not have survived such physical and emotional stresses. You, her support extraordinaire, are her loving sister, who could want more?
Now that was a God-wink, indeed, and an intuitively meaningful gesture from gracious
Jan. You deserve to experience such uplifting moments, dear Marly, as does Carole.
Can you imagine her expression when you present her with the finished piece and tell
her the story of how today the lot of us had to reach for the Kleenex.
As always, my thoughts are with you and your family.
Take care, Jan
Goose bumps indeed and how lovely to send this gift to you!
It had to be in this way!
Take care and sending prayers and lots of love to you,Truus from Holland
How incredibly appropriate for Carole. I pray that it will be meant for her to be at home to see her favorite birds and this beautiful sampler.
It is VERY cold this morning.......no swinging on the porch swing for me today.
Take care, stay warm, be well, have FAITH.......warmer weather is coming.
Hugs,
Charlotte in Va.
What a nice gift! And crazy cool on what Carole said to and then to get this in the mail. I hope it's the first of many good things to come your way after the crap show that was last year!
This will be such a sweet gift for Carole and was such a thoughtful and generous gift from Jan. I know Carole will love this, Marly. I stitched this piece for my mom's 90th birthday and gave it to her telling her that, for me, wherever she was would always be home. Of course now that she is gone it is back here living with me. Kind of bittersweet feelings when I look at it. I hope Carole is improving each day ♥
Watching a seed of kindness grow and multiply is always a beautiful thing. Kindness begets kindness but goosebumps, definitely. ~Robin~
