It's really hard on an already resized photo to do detail work in Paint. Not sure if birds are even necessary but these look like aircraft aimed at the house.
Even though more work than I expected, I do like this finish, basically easy solid fill of grass and hill, straight rows of fencing, minimal charting. Yepper.
Or should the fence be further back? Mmmm..... no.
Both are messy because I didn't want to take the time to copy and paste the stitching so I just filled with color.
This is how the original was charted.
We haven't been to Carole's facility in a while, and with residents around her and aides testing positive, the January 30 lifting of quarantine won't happen. Before spewing, yes, everyone there is vaxed and boosted. I hope she doesn't get it, I hope she can still make her appt Monday which is necessary, I am more concerned about healing after speaking with the nurse yesterday. No N95's are in this area yet. Good thing our Strategic National Stockpile has been storing over 750 million of them. Following other countries rebounds and relapses, contradictions from agencies and self proclaimed experts, I still believe a medication is the only hope. At the very least it would start a fight response rather than allow the virus to gain control during those days waiting for results. And if the first few days - BEFORE symptoms and testing - are the most contagious, splain it to me Lucy! I was tested (as many others) with negative results several times, but actually positive. Just my opinion.
Can anyone help with the conversion of Classic Colorworks Avocado to DMC? I've been searching and can't find it, already started with 3051 on the Bluebird design but I don't think that's it. May not remove to change it but I'd like to know.
Have a great day.

I searched for "conversion dmc to classic colorworks avocado" and down the page was a website for stitchersvillage.com. Their downloadable chart says avocado is equivalent to a combination of DMC 470/471/469, Hope this helps. Adele
WooHoo!! I like your version of Rachel even better than the original.
I made a supply run yesterday, WM was handing out N95 masks (3 per person) at the door. Two weeks ago, 3/4 of the people had masks on at WM & grocery, this time about 1/2 did. So much more I could say, and almost did.
Sorry, I'm no help on the floss conversion. I know you will find a great alternate color if there is no "official" substitute.
I think your needlework piece is phenomenal. Even more so since you have these physical limitations.
I don’t know if the covid tests you are referring to are the rapid home tests, but if they ARE, I would tell you to avoid the tests manufactured by Abbott!!!!!
They are not sensitive enough to detect small amounts of the virus—- as we learned from experience.
I love this, including the dive-bombing birds. My closest guess, even before I looked on line and saw Adele's comment, was 471. Be well--or as well as possible. I'm still working at 66, and because I do litigation, I have to be physically present in the office. One by one my co-workers around me have been plucked out of the office by Covid, although we all have the firm mandated vaxxes and boosters. I feel like it's coming for me....

471……
Two days prior to symptom onset and three days after symptom onset is the most contagious for the Omicron variety.
Love the changes you are making to the sampler, but those "things" look like they are dive bombing the house.
We know te$ting i$ flawed at be$t and totally unreliable. With that being $aid, big pharma companie$ are laughing all the way to the bank.
Marly, I checked against my DMC samples and google. DMC 471 was stated for avocado. I pick these from DMC samples: Some maybe slightly darker. 3364, 581,166, 3347. I think I had the rona too, tested 9 days out negative. Couple co-workers neg first time and then positive. I had same symptoms and after symptoms too. I have been vaccinated and boosted. Reminded me of RSV cold that kids get. Friend at work had Covid last year-sick, got sick when vaccinated and then got it again with Omicron sick. It's a crap shoot. Highlights how people have different immune systems. Sampler looks great! And on we go!
PS: Looked like 123 had CC Avocado.
Ooooo....although I do like the "original" "beast" (now that I see it), I really do love your revision - looks like it should have always been like that. Well, except maybe for those plane/bird things in the sky?? The original thing in the sky is even more frightening. Yikes. 😳 Hope Carole's appt goes through smoothly... I am painfully biting my tongue on the vaccine/"breakthroughs"/testing/mask stuff. You're welcome. ~Robin~
I absolutely love what you've substituted for the cow!! Good girl! Like I said before, if I don't care for what's "supposed" to be stitched as charted, I'll change things. I feel that I'm stitching it and chose the design because I liked the printed design, but fell better stitching it to please myself so will make changes when I want to. It'll be MY sampler when all is said and done.
Is it the color of the floss for Rachel's birds that you're wondering about? They are barely part of the design so I'd probably use a dark brown or black and not worry about trying to match what the chart calls for. As for the fence, looks super.
Finally -- Put your own initials somewhere on the piece -- IT'S YOURS!
I LOVE your version of the sampler, to be completely honest I like it much better than the original. Bravo!
Love the change you did at Rachel, more than how it was on the chart.
That what is in the air is looking like a flink lizzard!
Hope Carole will have her appt on monday and all will go well for her.
Take care Marly, Truus from Holland
Ummmm, I think they look like Russian MIG fighters!
For clarification, I love all of your cross stitching, your artistic color changes and personalization of pattern designs. Also enjoy your sense of humor even during difficult days (and snow days).
Late reply! I didn't find a good conversion but found this:
