No title, no words

Whether to change the flower stem from the charted 927 blue to 3012 green as shown, is so foolish.  What the hell does it matter?

People fleeing for their lives.  Terrified children being separated from family for safety.  Pets being abandoned and running after cars and trains their owners are leaving in.  Some of the elder residents in her facility are in a panic, remembering the war during their youth, and can't believe what is happening.

Protestors and those not in agreement with aggression, are silenced.  Their broadcasts are banned, fired from their job, their online postings are removed, they are not allowed the freedom to their opinion or discord.  Russia?  Anywhere else?

You nailed it Girl. Scary times all over this world.... 😢 Unfortunately, suppressing what people can say, see or hear is not the answer...and, in fact, only exacerbates everything that's wrong.

If there's one thing the last few years have taught me, it's that the masses-- of which I am one-- are powerless in the face of the powerful who control... EVERYTHING.

Change happens only at the whim of the controlling few.

All I can do is make my little corner a sanctuary to me and my few loved ones, as much as I can, as best as I can.

I have nothing left to give to anyone but me and mine.

And if that means stitching something so that it comes out exactly as mentally pictured, then so be it.

You can't help anyone else until you first put on your own oxygen mask. So I will take pleasure in the little things others would consider "meaningless" and let them give me the resolve to take care of my few family and friends.

And that is it.

Hi - I've thought about what you've said and have to agree about people expressing voice or silence. I figure that if you want to say something, say it! I understand those who prefer to make their remarks under the "name" of ANONYMOUS have a right to do so, but I don't understand why they have to hide behind that name instead of who they actuallly are. Nuff said - just my opinion.

The world situation is certainly in a turmoil and I look forward to a future that finds peace within country boundaries, but that doesn't look too promising at the moment. I have children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and I wonder what lies ahead for them. Not a very pretty picture right now.

It is heartbreaking to see the little children and animals that are suffering in the Ukraine. God bless all of them, keep them safe.
God bless America from the likes of what is going on there.

The only thing I can do is sending prayers to save people and stop this war because of that mad man will more power than he needs and therefore a lot of young and old are already dead....so heartbreaking...

Yesterday and the day before, I spent in a quilting frenzy. My machines were constantly humming along. I belong to several quilting groups that donate to charity and service organizations. I kept thinking how these quilts would help those huddled in subways and bomb shelters in Ukraine. I cried.

Several years ago I toured a chapel in Rome that was lined with plaques that were dedicated to each pope. There was only room for two more plaques. This was in 2001. If the predictions made by our tour guide were true, we are at a very precarious time. I am not one to believe in doomsday predictions, but this war, whether we call it a war or not, reminded me of that chapel.

So, as mentioned above, we do what we can, in our own little corner of the world. At my age, I would be a weak combatant, but I think I would stay and fight. For those defending their country, their way of life, and their hope for the future of the family, God Bless.

So scary what is happening in the world. My heart breaks for the Ukrainian people, and those that are protesting in Russia? What will Putin do to them? And this will only embolden the Chinese. I am fearful for us as a country, too. In my wildest dreams, I never could have imagined this. Love him or hate him, this never would have happened under Trump. Other leaders feared him...a good thing. Not like our current weak leaders.
