I found Meg Adams at Hobby House and ordered her along with Frosty's Night Out. I have a little piece of Murky and every time I see that little guy, I smile. Had to have him. I added the Ultimate Motif book that I've been wanting since no extra in shipping and that takes care of the gift from anonymous. I sure wish I knew who that was so I could send off a little thank you!!
Posted my progress on IG and I think there is an error in thread color on Jean. The chart photo appears to have a red/orange backstitch around the C, not the blue as listed, so I used the DMC 921 and I like it. The smocking section called for a pink that was too light for my taste so I chose a shade darker. The flowers are next and depending on how their pinks look, I may re-do the smocking thread even darker.
I did chart both sides border flowers to be balanced and evenly spaced but I do not like border stitching so haven't gone further.
Carole's appointment was so-so, she needs to go back in another two weeks instead of a month. It bled A LOT. There is some healing, but not as much as he would like, and a wound vac's tape would do more damage than good so not an option. Slow progress, but progress.
Have a good evening.
Pray for the world.

Hello. You are sure a busy bee! My question of the day... what type of lighting do you use? I am having a bit of a time even with an Ott light. I went to the local Joann's to check out the new Cricut light. They were sold out. Reviews have been very positive. I truly cannot discern and count thread on any linen over 28 and even then certain colors just muddle up. I am so frustrated. I am starting to wonder if working "in hand" may be a possibility since the taut fabric in the hoop, no matter what hoop or what frame I use, is not working. The voice of frustration here tonight. Any advice is appreciated.
Sorry poor Carole is still having such a tough time. A long process. The good thing about the bleeding is that the tissue is perfusing, and that means it is being well-fed during the healing process. Little consolation I suppose but it really is a positive. I've seen many dry wounds. I have recently been reading about hyperbaric oxygen therapy for wound healing for a distant family member with a similar surgical situation.
Enjoy our wee bit of warm air, it will be brief!
Jean is looking fantastic! I love those elaborate letters. Frosty is on Murky??? Gah....I'm a sucker for Murky. Not sure how much I have left.... Carole's appointment sounds....well??? I am still trying to wrap my head around something bleeding that long...I know, I know...it's a limb...but yikes. ~Robin~
Love your fancy stitching. Did a little bit on a Valentine piece. Was pleased with the chart......
Prayers go out every day for you and Carole. I know the bleeding is terrible to deal with and probably sapping her energy. Prayers for a miracle for her.
Would love to see your new snowman. Am stitching a Patriotic Rose piece now...going to be pretty. May make a real pillow out of the finished piece.
Temps are going up and down here.......60s and 70s in the forecast, then 40s later in the week.
Hugs

Love how your sampler is coming out with those big letters.
Did see some lovely snowman just released.
Hope the bloeding will soon stop for Carole and they checked her blood so she will not have a low iron through her bleeding-- do hope you understand what I try to say.
Take care of yourself too and still praying for you and the world.
Lots of love, Truus from Holland
Excellent choice for the outlining around the 'C'. That whole row of (four!) letters is very attractive- don't think I've ever seen any quite that fancy before, but I like them alot and your work is impeccable as usual!
It would be wonderful if Carole's leg would start healing better. But I'll go with what celkalee said - if it's still bleeding, the tissue is still alive. Better slow progress than no progress, and all that.
Perhaps the gift was that person's thank-you to you for keeping your blog going through thick and thin. So many bloggers with far less to deal with have quit posting! And for the the free patterns, the recipes, the lessons (I would never think to stitch large areas in 2 directions like you do), and information (thank you again for the linen dyeing email a few weeks ago). One thing I am sure of - the giver absolutely knows how much you appreciate it, and is very much enjoying seeing what you've gotten with it.
Marly: You are lucky to have a secret Santa, what a sweet thing for someone to do for you.
Nice progress on Jean, I am hoping you post a photo of the snowman, it's snowing here with a foot on the ground already.
I do hope that Carole can heal faster, I feel so sad for her.
I hope you are having better weather than us.
Catherine
