and patience. Plenty of frustration is pushing me to a bad place. I guess holding my breath for almost a year has caused pressure to build because I am losing my temper like the release on a pressure cooker. For everything. If a jacket gets stuck on a hanger in the closet, the hanger flies and the jacket follows. As quickly as control is lost, it is regained.
I'll post the chart giveaway in a day or so, and I hope Jan isn't upset that I am paying it forward. I found a bright spring green fabric that matched the 471 perfectly and I will stop at JoAnn for jumbo rick rack trim. Angie sent me a link to a BBD chart that listed DMC equivalents, one of which was the CC Avocado. Their conversion was 733, darker than the 470/471 and may show HOME better.
Need to settle down for a while before bed. I have to say to myself .... drop your shoulders, drop your arms ... and that really releases those taut muscles. Why do I have to say it? Right before bed and several times when lying in bed. It helps. But I can never remember whether lay or lie is correct in any case. And don't care.
Goodnight!

I laughed at your description of your sheep. I just finished a sampler. The sheep look like white rhinos. They are so small in comparison to the whole piece, I just left them. I was ready to be finished with the piece.
It seems to me that the Marly we knew from some years ago, is coming back.lol
You made a chart at your computer how the sheep will look in the meadow some time ago. Those sheep you cann't stitch on your sampler?
Somewhere I saw someone stitched a sheet and went over the switches with a brush to gave them a wooly fleece. Perhaps that will solve your problem-- try it on a leftover piece of linen first!
Looking forward what you will do.
Take care and stay save! Truus from Holland
Marly, toss those sheeps and put some cats/dogs there.
I'm pretty sure Sheepish Designs has some itty bitty critters that would fit.. can't remember any right now, but I bet they do have some... Maybe you can have a look at this designer's chart for some help/inspiration ?
If it would help (from a great college English prof) humans lie - objects lay.
Ewe need to make the sheep more incidental ... Marly's calm more essential....
It's far better to work on something else instead of beating yourself up over this one. If Rachel needs a nap while you chart it out and ponder that result, it's better than reaching for the matches when it's so close to done.
Maybe you're being to self-critical on your efforts? What I mean is - look at the original pattern. I have NO idea what the brown thing or the flying thing between tree and house are. I bet anyone looking a little white critters would think "sheep".
Marly, Your wanting to pass on the bluebird sampler is a very nice gesture and I'm happy to know that little bird will find another home to please someone. I was happy to see you stitch the design and look forward to hearing what Carole has to say when you give it to her.
As to the troubles with Rachael, have you thought about leaving out all animals and instead "plant" some trees, bushes and/or flowers behind the fence? You've done such a nice job with the rest of the sampler, it would be a shame to stow her away now.
I'm sure you will find the perfect solution...either soon or in the future.
I hope I can remember what Heritage Hall said about lie and lay!!!
Marly you have been battling with everyone for every thing for so long now ( medical people for yourself and your family, all the tradesmen you have dealt with, even your cats that you are trying to help). It’s no wonder your fuse is a little short . Take care of yourself
Need a lighter? ~Robin~
Good idea Jen! Cats would be great.
