Shaming me

Yep.  I felt the scolding through my screen from that Cranky Crow to put my big girl full coverage cotton panties on and stitch the flower border.  Well OK.  But I did alter it in Paint and space them evenly because I do have issues with symmetry.

I copied and pasted, ended with four spaces between each and although a little messy print copy, will be used to buckle down and finish this.  I'm running out of ink and blocked the sampler area except for the edges so I can monitor my position.  With the same spacing throughout the sides, that makes it easier for lazy crabs.  I failed at recording daily progress and changes in my notebook, did not even think about it.  Distractions I guess.

Mark is making Petey's cross this morning, same as Bud's, and they are next to each other.  For a cat that we conversed with and cared for without ever being able to handle, we are having a more difficult time than we expected.  Nitzy, who Petey followed everywhere but kept distance, has been searching for hours every day.  My sister is reading a book that we were surprised to hear, involves a cat named .... Petey!

Be well.

Sheesh....now why didn't that scolding and shaming stuff work with my son in his wild crow (not to be confused with wild turkey) days??? But it will be FABULOUS!!! (And, yes, after all the cussing and throwing and chocolate indulgence, you WILL thank me.) 🤣Poor Nitzy... Liza Bean was the same lost soul when I lost my sweet Purcy. She'd look for him behind the laundry door (where he used to hide to jump out at her) at least a dozen times a day. And I'd cry each and every time. ~Robin~

Your sister reading a book about Petey the cat is a sign from your Petey saying he made it to the other side and he's fine. Poor Nitzy though.

Sending my understanding and sympathy to you, Mark and Nitzy. We are worried about when the day comes that Sheldon or Pippa will be alone.
Pets bring us so much joy and so much pain when they leave us.
Maybe doing the border will take your mind off of unpleasant thoughts.
Nasty weather here today. Cold, raining and windy at 6:20 am.
Sending hugs,
Charlotte in Va.

Waking to the traditional March Blizzard for South West Pa., I decided to be thankful for the fabulous reflection of light off the miserable white stuff! Looking for positives here.

Your border looks much too complicated for my rudimentary skills. I used to be able to work these out while cooking something at the same time, now I struggle threading a needle. You are a trooper!

Our connection to our pets is a strong one. I like the analogy that circulates often in social media; our pets are actually angels in disguise. Sent to us to humanize us in difficult times. I do believe current times qualify that.

Take care, don't shovel this snow, it will melt by Monday, then we will need to flip on the AC!

Loss of a four legged family member is so painful and leaves a hole in your heart.....so sorry for your loss.
Take care and hope all are safe and enjoying sunshine as we are right this minute - still cold out but at least the sun is beautiful.

Poor Nitzy searching for Petey and so sorry for you and Mark.
It has such an impact on you and the other animals.
I don't know how you do this playing at the computer to change the chart of a sampler, but it looks great how you did the border.
Take care and a big hug, Truus from Holland

I'm always so amazed at how you can alter your samplers so easily on the computer, Marly! I'm another who craves symmetry--I think a lot of stitchers are the same.

I can just picture poor Nitzy searching for Petey. So sad to see--I love that Mark is making crosses for all him. I'm sure it still feels like something is missing each time you look outside. Take care now--more snow here this morning, but it's up in the 60s by Wednesday. Spring is coming ♥
