Nitzy

Taking some time off.   My Nitzy was torn apart and suffered terribly after two massive dogs attacked him on the deck.  We got them off of him and brought him inside.  Held him while he screamed until he passed.  The vet didn't get here in time.

The police know who owns them, never saw them before.

Missy lost her mate Bud, and now her son.

Marly and Mark, I can't believe you are going through this again. I am in tears and so sad for Nitzy and you.

So sorry. That is just terrible. Please request that those dogs be put down at this owner’s expense. I am sure this isn’t the first time they have been violent.

Oh Marly dear, so sorry that you must endure this tragedy on top of all you have had to bear
these past months. Embracing you in understanding and prayer... please take what time you need to sort it out and to find rest and peace. RIP dear Nitzy....

Dear Marly, I am so very sorry to hear this news about your dear Nitzy. You poured so much love into his life and in my experience, animals respond to that love. I'm sure Nitzy did in his own way. I hope you will be able to focus on the good memories you have of him and how you created a warm and comfortable life for him as you work through this terrible tragedy.
Blessings,
Carla

Such sad, sad news. As others have already said, hopefully the dogs who did this will be put down. What more unfortunate situations can one handle? My heart goes out to you and your husband -- but you have always been on my mind for the kindness you've given to your sister, your animals (mostly cats) and the quiet kind thoughts you've always expressed for your husband. Sending you my thoughts and concerns to you as always,
Jan

There are no words to say how sorry I am that this happened, that you had to see Nitzy in such pain and that the Vet didn't get there in time..........
Prayers for Missy, you and Mark.
When is life going to get better for you. You certainly don't deserve all of the anguish you're going through. God bless you with peace.

Oh Marly, I'm SO sorry this has happened. Sucks that one of the few bright spots in your life has been taken away so brutally. I hope the irresponsible dog owners are dealt with quickly and they are never allowed to have dogs again. (((hugs)))

So sorry to hear about your baby. I keep my Jasmine inside at all times. If she goes out it is with us and never off the porch. I hope the police kill those dogs. They should never be running around anyway. My heart goes out to you guys. I am sending you big hugs. Lynda from Canada

Oh Marly girl....I have no words. How incredibly horrific for you and poor, sweet, Nitzy. I cannot, nor do I wish to, imagine going through that. Many years ago, someone hit our Siberian, Meisha, and drove away....leaving her clinging to life. I had the window open (it was night) and heard her collar when she was hit. No vet here makes house calls and, as typical, I was completely alone and had to drag her to the side of the road and could only hold her as she died. I will never ever forget the sounds or sights of that night. And what you have gone through is far worse...it is savage. I have no clue about the laws in PA, but here they stink as regards dangerous dogs and irresponsible owners. Little Crow and I were literally held hostage for 5 hours by a vicious Rottweiler that was used for breeding and had a collar of spikes. The sheriff's dept wouldn't respond saying they couldn't do anything until it actually bit someone even though it sat on our porch and lunged, growling, at our window. And, no, WI law didn't allow us to shoot it. When my husband finally got home, he threw a block of wood and while the dog was distracted he ran around to the back door. He again called the sheriff's dept and said he was going to shoot the dog so they best send someone out to arrest him pdq. When an officer came, he ended up running to our back entrance at well and was amazed that mace didn't work. We later learned that the dog had bitten 2 other people previously, but still, nothing could be done. Just gotta shake your head. I know none of my ramblings ease your pain at all, but know I am thinking of you and praying for some measure of peace in the coming days. Hugs ~Robin~

My deepest condolences at the horrible loss of Nitsy! He will be missed by your readers. Always a photogenic, dignified example of feline exceptionalism!!! I love cats. Those creepy dogs should be put down. If they can't even be contained in their own fence other animals and especially children could be harmed next. I am so sorry for what Nitsy went through. Unbelievable.

I'm crying after reading about the devastating, horrifying loss of your beloved Nitsy. I can't believe that nothing can be done about those dangerous dogs. At least Nitsy died in your arms, but the agony you must've gone through as he suffered & screamed tears my heart in two. Sending hugs, prayers, & purrs for poor Missy. How alone she must feel now!
