Remember project #2, Jane Southward? The 3011 vine was not showing well enough on my linen (seems to be the norm). For some reason, Confederate Gray popped into my head even though I'd only used it once for a small ornament years ago. I took a chance and ordered a piece for Jane. Bingo. I think the 3011 is showing better on this very neutral fabric.
After some work on Jane I will go back to Ann for a few more rows, then Kezia. I do have others kitted but three projects at once seems reasonable, any more may lead to a loss of interest. After being monogamous for decades, I like having other options if I tire of a project or need a break from overthinking. I have to say that my stitch station is making it so much easier also.
Having blood work done this week, my tooth fixed, Missy is doing well (but that wound is ugly), and I feel like a wet rag. I don't understand how I can move gravel for hours and be fine, and other days can barely stand up straight.
Our friend had very mild covid in January, and has been needing care since because of mental inabilities. He was taken to a neurologist and found after testing and scans that he does not have dementia or Alzheimer. He has a severe case of covid fog. The doctor said he has so many patients with this, all older, all had mild covid, most recover in a few months but some are severe cases like his. No treatment other than rehab offered to brain injury or stroke patients. So far, no improvement.
Hope you have a good start to this week.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I hope he will recover and be well. Have heard, on TV, that the covid shot can do damage to the brain. Don't know what to believe anymore...........wear a mask, don't wear a mask, the vaccine doesn't help.........everyone needs to get the vaccine ? ? ? ?
Take care and be careful shoveling......I know how yard work can do one in.
Glad Missy is doing okay. I hope she will heal on her own.
Charlotte in Va.
I also have a good friend who is 63
and suffers now with fog. Her doctor gave her a note for work: they must accommodate her inabilities. He prescribed the same medication they give post concussions!! That is what they are doing here in Canada. Unfortunately my friend is too scared to take meds
Sorry about your friend and the covid fog, hope he starts to improve soon.
You're not alone in being able to work hard some days, other days standing up is work enough. That's me also. After doing battle with grass barrier for several days, yesterday I did nearly nothing. Mentally & physically just could not get motivated.
I like that Confederate Gray linen with the green. I've added it to my list of linens to investigate for next time I order it. Have not even looked at charts for Expo, not surprising since I had no idea it is (was?) going on. Not that I need any more charts. But since when does that make much difference? :-)
So sorry about your friend's Covid fog. Scary stuff. Hopefully he will show improvements soon.
Scary stuff that fog business....like I need something like that on top of my already fogged brain. 😬 I like the way the green is working on Confederate Gray. I got another shipment of Sand... Holy heck. The more I see it, the more I don't like it. ~Robin~
Confederate gray has made a great difference on the vines.. Hope
everything else works well on it.So sorry about your friend... I don't think we have seen the last of ongoing ramifications of that COVID curse, nor it's supposed remedy, the vaccine.... The doctors, to be certain, are seeing many incidents and I hope they are keeping a sharp eye and reporting....
Hello Dear Friend: I like the color change, you have an eye for color change, I do not, at least not very well.
I am sad to hear about your friend, it seems that the covid fog is hitting many people.
I am not vaccinated, nor will I get vaccinated, I feel they did not do a study long enough.
It is good to hear your tooth is fixed.
So sorry about your fur baby, I hope the sore heals quickly.
hugs
Catherine
That is very scary about your friend, Marly! My son's sense of taste and smell are still not right after a month and he thinks they never will be. Hope your tooth repair goes well and Missy continues to heal.
