I say go.
In the 4th line my letters moved down after the P. Row 5 will be too close, once stretched it will be more noticed. I can remove/lower three letters to the P and all of row 5. Other option is remove/raise all letters after the P which would be as it should. Same amount of work, I'll decide today so I can continue.
Change of Christmas dinner plans. Still no reply to calls, no help. Add the mess of bringing all items back home increasing the ridiculous clutter, I decided it would be a fiasco. Crock pot Italian shredded beef, pasta salad, corn casserole, pickled and deviled eggs. Boom. Grab a plate, find a spot, when you want. Sit down table set dinner .... was nice years ago. Informal with no time demands is less stress for everyone.
With tools out for modifying some areas of her house, we made a door for the cupboard I made years ago. Matching aged pine is quite difficult, but I'm pleased with the result. May be painted/aged at some point.

Yesterday was hours at the dentist, miserable result. Second time.... not going through it again.
Have a nice day everyone.
Thanks for taking the time to visit.

Oh dear! Sorry your dental woes continue. I find myself messing up spacing on samplers more and more. Not sure if it is age...and aging eyesight or age and having NO patience at all...so I stitch too quickly not always looking closely. Either way it pisses me off. Your christmas dinner plans sound great to me!
Sounds like a plan, Marly dear, both sampler and dinner... hope both
go smoothly. Just reminding you lovingly to make Marly a priority in
the consideration dept. and do what is essential and let the chips fall
where they may. Knowing you, it will be more than special and you will
save yourself some stress. Bless you for all you do to make life a better experience for all. Find the peace of Christmas and shut out the
care and concerns for a while...refresh yourself in that quietude and
believe that you have truly served in love those you love and have done it with grace and compassion. Bless you, dear one.
Hi Marly: It is a lovely Sampler I am not sure what I would do I am sure you will do the best you always come out on top when making these tough decisions.

Marly, The entire family is blessed by your love and care. The Christmas dinner being casual is the best idea! We have all done the sit down thing and realize it looks great in pictures, but only adds to the stress of the holidays. I am hoping that someone, somewhere in the system comes through for Caroles needs. It is unbelievable that this can and does happen. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Merry Christmas, Sherry B
Around 25 years ago, I stopped doing a formal Christmas dinner. After the holiday-foods breakfast, filling hot drinks, treats from the stockings, and special food gifts that were received, no one wanted a huge, heavy sit-down dinner. Instead, we do all-day hors d'oeuvres. People can come and go, drop in for a moment or an afternoon, and there's an array of bite-sized nibbles they can sample or not. Every year is a mix of old favorites and new try-outs.
The only person who ever objected was my MIL, and she was *appalled*; she used to loudly lament that her dear sonny boy wouldn't have a "proper Christmas meal", and she'd bring him (and only him!) a plate of traditional turkey, stuffing, potatoes, corn and beans, gravy, cranberry sauce, and a big slab of Jesus Birthday Cake (or as we called it, Toothpaste Cake). Good times!
Really hope your family sees the care you give to those around you. May you be blessed with better times.
Whatever you choose for the sampler will be great, I'm sure.
You are quite handy with woodworking. Sure wish I had even a little bit of skill there. Cupboard looks great and a perfect match.
Such a beautiful cupboard you made Marly!!
If I was you,I would unpick the wrong letters and stitch them again in the right place. Love this sampler and the colors you are using.
I have bought the new book of Black Bird and like to stitch a lot of items from this book.
Make it yourself easy for the Christmas dinner or is it possible to let the others who are coming also take a part of the dinner,so you don't have to do all the dinner.
Hope the pain of the de test will disapear very soon.
Lots of love and prayers for you and Mark,Truus from Holland
I think your dinner plans for Christmas sound perfect, Marly! You're going to laugh, but we are actually having our traditional Christmas breakfast for dinner :) No one will be here, but my middle son and his girlfriend who live locally will stop by in the late afternoon after spending most of the day with her family. He was SO upset at not having our traditional cinnamon buns that I suggested we just have breakfast for dinner. A new tradition possibly? :)
Love, love, love that cupboard! So sorry about the dental pain--ugh! Sure hope you find some relief soon. Looking forward to your decision on Ann--it will be beautiful whatever you decide ♥
