Beam me up Scotty

What the heck?  Am I in outer space?
Thank goodness this is 30 count which is not very difficult when removing over one.  I have never had so many removals and errors in such a small area.

I adjusted the first major error by adding the date that was to be stitched at the end, to the beginning.  Counted incorrectly, removed and stitched twice.  The original had just 96 on the second line, you can see the extra wording I added.

Then it was time to stitch inside the box.  Distraction is my only excuse for failure to differentiate over one from my usual two threads.  The bottom date was too high and September ran into it, out damned date.  Then I didn't account for changing the weird s to S in Stone after I had already centered it.  Out damned name.  On the plus side, September didn't need removed.  I will use it as a guide for above and below.  Sure I will.

Spending more time today searching online and phone calls.  We need to purchase a full size hospital bed and mattress, the 36" wide they sent does not allow her to roll to each side when dressing.  She spent an hour on call (she initiated) with UPMC for answers.  Looking into changing to another home health provider.  I need to speak with them again today.  Care.com (private pay) takes your credit card and charges it monthly (for using their service) whether you receive/pay for care or not. Visiting Angels does no light housekeeping, toileting, incontinence care. These services are to be provided for her in exchange for saving gov't over 12 grand a month in nursing home costs.  No.  She has no intention to return even after saying she misses the best hotel she's ever stayed at.

I am trying to focus on finishing Ann and will do that in a day or two.  Asked my PCP again for an rx of pilocarpine for worsening sjogren's.  She finally agreed on two month supply until I see the new doctor.  I hope it helps and my drug sensitive body doesn't have a reaction.

No snow! Thankful for that.
Have a good day folks.

Did you feel me commiserating with you last evening? I am usually pretty anal about counting, double counting, triple counting from multiple "checkpoints" (yes, I hate frogging that much...funny, because I like frogs?) Anyway (yeah, my mind wanders), I stitched an entire tree...buried the tail, snipped the thread and THEN saw I was one thread off. WTH? So, that amped up the crank level here in the tiny house in Nod for the rest of the night. In any event, Ann is looking fantastic...and you're so stinking close to a finish!! So the Carole calamity continues. What a freakin' mess. I was surprised at the Visiting Angel thing....wow. By their advertising one is led to think they're the answer to your prayers. Thinking of you and hoping for the best.... ~Robin~

With as much on your mind as you have, I would not be surprised if it the reason even though you think you're focusing on your stitching.
Bummer on the ripping out, but the reworking of the name and date look good.
And Yay for Carole getting involved in her own care and needs. And for the prescription - hope it works for you!

So what do the Visiting Demons actually do?!

Oh man! You sure have your hands full. I have not stitched since before Christmas...don't have the motivation or interest...but will try to get back to it by the weekend.

The saga of Carole continues. What a nightmare for you, but I do understand her wanting to be in her home. I cannot imagine having to give up mine.
I do love Ann!!!

You are so close to finish Ann and the frogging is the result of all the trouble you have in your search for care and your own problems with doctors and so on.
I didn't stitch for almost a year because I hate frogging and the brainfog.
Take care and stay save, Truus from Holland

Am not happy with two of the home care people that have been here. One did not apply catheter properly............You can just imagine what happened to me . Daughter called the supervisor and told her she did not want either woman in our home again.
Waiting to hear about more tests and possible surgery in the future.
I hope your prescription works for you and you can enjoy life more.
Hugs,
Charlotte in Va.

I know it's frustrating to rip out and re-stitch, Marly, but that is why your finished pieces always look so wonderful. You won't rest until you get it right!

So frustrating to read that nothing is changing for Carole's situation. I can't even imagine how frustrating it must be for all of you. It just seems like one blunder after another and I hope and pray I never am in a situation to need help from these care givers.

Hope your new meds make a difference. But, yes--no snow is a blessing this winter! Hang in there ♥
