Ta-da!!
I finished the double stack of hearts and was ready to finish Ann with the over one. That was last night.
...........
And here are those hearts this evening.
............
I've said it many times, I need to learn from my mistakes. The first few stitches that appear to be placed correctly ..... lie.
Never trust them. Always count and repeatedly check position during progression! Dammit.
I spent hours this morning with medical equipment companies and found what the nurses recommended is not covered. I was questioned if she was on a government retiree plan ... no. Medicare. Too bad. Frustrated, everything that came close to my hand experienced my wrath. Good thing I adore Ann and calmed down! Aren't you proud of me? A few years ago, error frustration alone caused some projects to meet a nasty fate and a beautiful flame. Add the anger and Ann should have been a victim.
Holy floss bags. I'm growing up.
Hope everyone is well.

Hi Marly: Ann is really coming along.
I at first thought the ORTS were part of the design at first, giggles.
I hope everything works out for Carole what a heck of a year you both have had.

Bummer on the nurse recommendations vs. what Medicare covers. I hope the nurse can come up with alternatives that are covered.
I'm glad Ann didn't pay for your wrath over the phone calls, or the stitching error. Especially when she's so close to being finished.
I'm so glad Ann didn't become a victim--you didn't even give her a "time out!" Well done, Marly!
Ugh--I so hate it when medical things that are recommended aren't covered by insurance. Sure hope an alternative can be found. You and Carole have been through so much--you deserve a break soon. Hang in there and keep on stitching--it really does help, doesn't it? Enjoy this sunshine (for a change!). ♥
Alleluia, Ann was saved. Despite the frustration, it is such
a mellow and serene looking piece and once finished, will point to your growing tolerance. Sorry about the medical glitches...
nothing is simple these days and so much requires re-visiting to get things resolved. Hang in there.. relief is around the
corner....
What a pity about Ann with the mistake on the hearts...so close to finishing.
Wishing next time will all goes smoothly when you have to sort things out for Carole. Cann't her son do these things or someone else? Why is it only you to do this and you have already your own health problems.
Take care and stay save, Truus from Holland
What a special little lady Ann is to have escaped the Marly wrath... 😉 Unfortunately, I knew exactly what that little mound of frog droppings was immediately. Something with which I am intimately familiar. ~Robin~
I follow your blog regularly, though this is the first time I have posted. I followed you initially because I enjoy your stitching, but I also find your commitment to family and the challenges Carole’s health presents compelling. Like you, I care about family and am committed to helping. Like you, I have found some of my family’s decisions to be a bit challenging sometimes. Your love shines through. And I also understand challenges associated with autoimmune disease.
I hope you are proud of yourself. You rock!
