Thinking

Guess who has power as of 10 pm?  Thank goodness.  The exhausted workers had bloodshot eyes and four day stubble, still much work to be done.  Those 60 mph winds were gusts mixed in with 35-40 mph sustained for those nine hours.  It was a little noisy!  We lost some trees in the woods but not in the yard.  Years ago we had a micro burst that took our large fir, a large birch, and two large maples.

No decisions on the next stitch yet.  I was studying the new charts and think I may decrease the width on the Sewing Bag which is 10.25" wide on 36 count, 5" tall when closed.  I want it narrower but even if I punished myself with a piece of 46 count, it would still be 8" x 4".  So I decided to stay with 40 and abbreviate the design which would result in 7"  x 4.5".

Playing with Paint, I came up with two options, leaning toward the first one.

Thinking.

Chris has been having issues the last six months and I went to the doc with him for biopsy results.  A result of 15 eosinophils in the esophagus tissue indicates an inflammation caused by an immune response to food allergies.  Chris had 280, the highest that office has seen.  No way to test for the culprits, they would be too numerous and most likely not definitive since the response could be days later.  Rarely is testing recommended.  The condition is called eosinophilic esophagitis.

That's it.  I'm ready for a good sleep.
Hope you're all well and having a good week.

Bummer on Chris's woes. At least he has a diagnosis now. I hope there is a treatment for it even if figuring out what food is the trigger isn't part of the care.
Yay for Carole's power on! Those crews work so hard, often away from home for days at at time. Weeks when they go to areas hit by hurricanes.

Both changes to the sewing bag are nice. If it were my choice, I like the 2nd one a bit better. Maybe. Stitch both?

Wondering if there is treatment for Chris? I sure hope so. That sewing purse is lovely. I have several kits (I think they are kits) for similar purses from decades ago...time to pour over the endless stash again!

Power workers are unsung heroes in the first responder world. It is dangerous, long hours, essentially a faceless worker. Glad Carole is back online. We all forget the convenience of electricity. I can't imagine being a pioneer, I am spoiled.

Poor Chris. His health is such a precarious balance, isn't it? I would hope that testing and an elimination diet would reduce his inflammation markers.

The stitchers purse is adorable, love it. I plan to work on something similar as a carry with to my stitching group. We all ohh and ahh over each other sewing notions and hoops and scissors. Such wild women we are!

Oh that sewing bag is wonderful... I don't think I will ever fall out of love with SN designs. Curious why you don't want yours so wide? But, if you're going to cut it down, I vote for the second option. I like the balance of at least something on the "other side." Bummer about Chris. Yikes, that family just can't catch too many breaks, can they? ~Robin~

I love your projects - makes me want to stitch faster and more of the pretties.

I have been watching YouTube videos by The Cape on the Corner at Tweedthistle Farm. I think you may enjoy her as she focuses on prim decorating. We just returned from a trip to Berlin, Ohio and visited Wooden Horse Primitives which is one of the antique shops she featured. Hope you'll spend some time watching her; I think you'll be glad you did.

Hi Marly: You have a gift for choosing lovely designs to stitch.
I hope Chris is getting that health problem under control, I feel so sorry for him, allergies are a tricky thing to diagnose.

Stay warm and fuzzing with stitching.

Catherine
