And then there's Maud. Again. I'm OK with the thread colors after realizing I can't recreate the original.
That red is now dmc 816. The others were even darker as they should be, but not showy. Changing the linen solved that but caused the other brights to ghost somewhat. I think a thicker thread would be the ticket, two strands on 32 count. But what I'm doing now is good. Unless I decide to test the 32 count. Any bets?
We will go to the fabulous Italian place for veggie ranch pizza slices, take one to Carole, and do the work we had planned for yesterday before the wind storm hits. She has been sick since the four days of a 50 degree bedroom. Cough is choking, along with a cold. Keeping the head raised on her bed, but mobility is only with her chair. I will dig out my spirometer and make sure she uses it several times a day.
Hope your weekend is peaceful.

Ugh! I have that cold as well. Encourage her to drink liquids to keep secretions thin and coughable....(which I'm sure you know) I'm on day 7 and hooray, today that cough is much much less. Spirometer is great to use with her limited mobility.
As always, I love seeing your sampler projects and reading about your process.
Marly: Beautiful design, I like seeing the changes you make.
We have had thunder and lightning, freezing rain, hail and lots and lots of snow, we had 60-70 mile an hour wind yesterday.
I am happy you are making Carole use the spirometer, it is graet tool for getting making breathing better.
Praying for Chris, Carole and your health
Catherine
Hopefully Carole will feel better soon.
We've had some scary winds, but the storms seem to have missed me.
May you be ever blessed for your care and attention to Carole. Love the
sampler and you rarely if ever make an error in color selection That
slice of pizza sounds yummy....enjoy. Have a safe and relaxing weekend.
Tell me again why you didn't try the wool thread? Sorry...my head has been full of flies these days. Hoping Carole kicks the cold quickly. I lost power with last night's storm but am so grateful for the back-up generator. ~Robin~
I'm impressed as usual how you persevere with your stitching while you endure all your physical problems and worries about Carole. You and your husband have gone beyond kindness and caring for all her wants and what you think she needs. I commend you both!! Hopefully Carole can clear up the symptoms of a cold and it doesn't materialize into something more serious.
Wishing you and your entire family a wonderful, healthy, peaceful Easter holiday.
Sorry for Carole that she have a cold after the cold days.Hope she will feel better after using the spirometer.
That pizza sounds great and the sampler will be beautiful after finishing.
Take care and have a lovely stitching Sunday,Truus from Holland
Maud looks good, Marly. Praying for Carole's breathing and getting over this cold.
I hope Carole is feeling better and soon. The last thing she needs is pneumonia to set in! I hope you avoided any more storm damage in your area from this last round.
The veggie-ranch pizza sounds yummy.
