Two days off

but stitched this evening.   And I am quickly falling out of love, or starting a slump snag.  I am considering ending this after Maud's name and turning into a small drum.  Maybe tomorrow will be different, but today feels like a snag.

Temperature was very warm, I worked outside, overdid.  Is that a word?  Lots of moss and weeds around peonies and irises.  Moved the rhizomes to a better spot, edged, added mulch.  Very small area and the only place soil is plantable since sand was dumped there in order to pass a perc test.  I decided to add two perennials and left empty gallon pots where they will go so all I have to do is remove them and plop in the new plant.  That way, I avoid digging a mess later and can spread mulch now.

I couldn't finish the whole area, so pulled a chair from the basement, my most comfy wooden one.  Deep seat for my long legs, perfect curve for back support, writing table attached, enjoyed the breeze and warmth.

Thursday is Carole's again to finish the closet shelves.  Last two attempts were cut short by power outages.

Hope everyone is safe and well.

Maud is looking good, Marly. Love your chair!

Take it in thy stride, dear one... Maud will come around and after that
effort in the garden, I wager that chair felt mighty good. Go easy at
Carole's and plan on letting go and relaxing after. Great idea on how
to deal with that perennial planting.

Hi Marly: It is sometimes hard to get some stitching in when you are so busy and you and your husband are very busy helping Carole and your garden.
The design is very pretty, it will be a beauty when finished.
The chair reminds me of my school desk, so sweet.

Somehow, I believe Maud might have been short-changed all her life. Heck, with a name like Fuzzard?? I think you should put her aside and reconsider after some serious soul-searching LOL. Ahhh...yard work. We still are white...and windy...horribly windy. Thanks so much for sending it our way. I, too, remember those chairs...but doubt my back would find it very inviting these days. ~Robin~

Hope you can finish your work at Carole and have time for yourself again. How is Carole doing at the moment-- is her cold gone?
Take care and wish you many peacefull days outside stitching, Truus from Holland

Good morning ! I remember sitting in a desk chair like yours back in the day.
So happy with the warmer weather. Spent some time on my porch swing, watching the birds, enjoying the breeze, just being outside.
Not doing any stitching right now. Want something new to do.
I hope your Good Fri

Kitty caused the abrupt end to my conversation.

Well, if people overdo things, there must be an overdid to cover past tense? I hope your feeling of "meh" about Maude are from too much yard work. I hope you got the closet work done, being done with work at Carole's would be a huge relief for you.

As others already mentioned, those chairs are a pain for us lefties to write on! But they were comfortable to sit in IIRC.
